ninja2bceen Posted May 6, 2015 Posted May 6, 2015 File Name: Files 2 Folders Batch Program File Submitter: ninja2bceen File Submitted: 06 May 2015 File Category: HyperSpin 3rd Party Applications Credits: harwen creator I found this app online and works great for hyperlaunch aka rocket launch media. It works great for stuff like manuals etc that have to be in their own "folder" and you cant just have the file names in the root. For instance instance in the manual folder of hyperlaunch say you have 100 manuals. First you'll want to use fatmatch to match up the names of the manuals to your games. Once they have all been renamed properly and you have unzipped this, just right click your mouse and select "files 2 folder", once clicked the document will create its own folder and place the document in there. If you chose to do all of your media, hold down ctrl or use shift to select them all and click "files 2 folders" by right clicking. This time you'll get a different option in the pop up. To get a folder for each file individually use the second option named move each file to indivudal subfolders based on their names. This makes managing hyperlaunch media a breeze with creating folders for your content hyperspin forum: http://www.hyperspin-fe.com/topic/8897-files-2-folders-batch-program/ ; -------------------------------------------------------------------------- ; Installation ------------------------------------------------------------- ; -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1) Unpack archive to a folder of your choice. 2) Run the Files2Folder.exe. A message box will pop up asking you if you would like to register the shell extension. Click yes. 3) A shortcut will also be created that will allow you to unregister the shell extension if you wish to do so. 4) Alternately, you can silently install Files 2 Folder using the -s switch like this: c:\path\to\Files2Folder.exe -s To silently uninstall use the -su switch like this: c:\path\to\Files2Folder.exe -su ; -------------------------------------------------------------------------- ; Use ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ; -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1) After registering the shell extension, you will see a new menu entry in your context menu. The context menu is the menu you see when you right click a file or files in a file manager such as Windows Explorer. 2) If you have selected only one FILE and choose 'Files 2 Folder' from the menu, the following will happen: 1) A folder will be created that is the same name as the file you selected. 2) Your selected file will then be moved into that folder. 3) If you have selected only one FOLDER and choose 'Files 2 Folder' from the menu, the following will happen: 1) A folder will be created that is the same name as the folder you selected with an extra tilde (~) character added. 2) Your selected folder will then be moved into the new folder. 4) If you have selected multiple files and choose 'Files 2 Folder' from the menu, a box will pop up with three options: 1) Move all selected files into a subfolder you provide the name of. 2) Move each file to individual subfolders based on their names e.g.: Good.bat -> .\Good\Good.bat Better.txt -> .\Better\Better.txt 3) Move each file to subfolders according to file extensions. * If there are any folders in your selection, options 2 and 3 will be disabled. ; -------------------------------------------------------------------------- ; Icon copyright ----------------------------------------------------------- ; -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Program icon copyright Harwen @ http://harwen.net/ License: Free for non-commercial use. http://www.iconarchive.com/category/folder/simple-icons-by-harwen.html Click here to download this file Advance the cause to 100%. http://hyperbase.hyperspin-fe.com/ Planet Geekdom, Subscribe for Tutorials! https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCdcby-s2GwriaOHGmVC2vGA?sub_confirmation=1&app=desktop

nimpa Posted May 6, 2015 Posted May 6, 2015 Yeah.. We used to di that in another forum i were in.. - u go to virustotal.com and upload the file (or zip file) it checks from 55 different virus programs if the file/zip contain any malware/virus/etc.. It's just s suggestion - because there are spammers/newbies who might just download and install. But beeing on the safe side everyone should do before installing any file..
