PPSSPP: escape game and then back to hyperspin

Hi, guys, 

 

   I am a new user to Hyperspin. 

 

   This week, I found the Topic about PSP minis game (Member,  Aorin's article), so I try to setup the PPSSPP system in My Hyperspin. 

 

   However, each time I quit a psp minis game with ESC key, I will stay in the PPSSPP menu (When I use MAME, I quit game and will back to Hyperspin). 

 

   Can anyone teach me How to setup the software (HyperHQ? Hyperlaunch? or HyperlaunchHQ? ), so that I can back to the hyperspin directly to choose another game instead of staying in the PPSSPP.

I think by default you press p for that menu

Your better off changing the "Exit Emulator" key in HyperLaunchHQ/RocketLauncherUI and not rely on the emulator, although it works OK for Mame. Other emulators use esc to switch between full screen and windowed.

    But, can you clearly teach me where to setup RocketLauncherUI 's Exit Emulator  key ?  for example, do you mean  --> HyperLaunchHQ\General Settings\Hyperlaunch tab\Exit emulator key??

 

   further, the default hotkey to close ppsspp is "Alt + F4", How can I define  Esc=Alt+F4 in HyperLaunchHQ, so that I can press Esc to quit the ppsspp emulator? 

 

    I don't know well about how to setup the HLHQ, I will thank you for your detailed teaching !

If you want to keep esc as your exit key (not recommended) you need to do what Ninja said and change the Pause key in PPSSPP which is "Keyboard esc" by default.

 

Fire up the emulator and click Settings>Controls and then Control Mapping.

Scroll down until you see "Pause" and click the "X" next to "kbd.esc" that will remove that key binding.

You now have to add a different key for pause so click the "+" next to pause and add the key of your choice.

 

Alternatively set up a unique exit emulator key from within RocketLauncher UI.

 

Go to Global>General Settings>Controls.

Under Emulators click the keyboard key button at the end of the Exit Emulator Key section .

 

 

Now decide what key or key combo you wish to use. In my example I have chosen to hold for 3 seconds the start and back buttons on my 360 controller and also for when I am using my key board the "C" and "1" keys also held down for 3 seconds. You can choose you own of coarse.

 

 

Press the green "+" button then select your Key Press mode from the choices. Hover over the information buttons for more details of each mode.

You must choose these actions first and once selected click the capture button.

 

 

Once you have chosen your keys click the save icon 

 

Now you can continue to add other keys or combos if required, otherwise you can close and test.

    I notice some difference :

 

    1. you use RocketLaunchUI, and I use hyperlaunchHQ

    2. the field [Exit emulator key] in your first pic is "Esc", and in my initial field [Exit emulator key]  is "~Esc", what is the difference between "Esc" and "~Esc"

    3. I even find some articles from web , teach me to add some code in AutoHotKey..

     (1) add "exit_emulator_key=3" to your Settings.ini file (/Hyperspin/settings)  or HyperLaunch.ini under C:\HyperSpin\HyperLaunch\Settings 

     (2) add some code in module  (I don't know what "module " means, I add the code in my E:\Hyperspin\HyperLaunch\Modules\PPSSPP\PPSSPP.ahk)

   However, I try all these ways , I can't  press "3" to exit game from PPSSPP....   I am so depressed..

I see your problem, you are not using Hyperlaunch to launch PPSSPP you are using HyperSpin.
