videogplayer12 Posted May 18, 2015 Posted May 18, 2015 Now perhaps the title is a bit exaggerated as it doesn't really "lock" my harddrive but if I try to remove or alter file's it doesn't refresh right away and I have to hit the refresh button manually. The problem I'm having is that when I previously installed SSF with Deamon Tool's as I was told that you have to have it to operate that emulator, so I downloaded Deamon Tool's since I saw so many people download it with no problem's and originally since I did auto installation it installed malware and spyware onto my computer that completely destroyed my browser and slowed my computer. Luckily I was able to fix it through a tutorial that someone gave me and tried to reinstall it doing a manual installation instead so I didn't get the malware and spyware and everything was all humpty dory. I created a Virtual Drive and set up my SSF emulator and I was able to get my game's to work great! I was playing Sonic R, Night Warrior's, and Virtua Fighter 2 and everything checked out fine. So I set up Deamon Tool's with Hyperspin for epsxe and SSF because again, I thought you had to have it with epsxe, and while my epsxe game's gave me issue's when booting game's right away it worked fine I didn't get any trouble at all. It all went down hill when I tried to use SSF with Deamon Tool's through Hyperspin. I clicked on a game it booted but the second I clicked out of it I couldn't boot anything else. So my first reaction was ok maybe it didn't close correctly so I went out of Hyperspin and checked my task manager which toke a bit of time to open oddly enough. Nothing was open. I restored my computer to a previous restore point to see if that would help, now not only could I not open SSF through Hyperspin I couldn't open any emulator. Then I tried using a restore point. Same thing happened couldn't open any emulator it just kept giving me this error as if a game was already open or that it wasn't there at all. That's also when I started getting the refresh issue when trying to remove or alter files and my computer was going really slow. Now what I'm wondering is if this problem is happening to anyone else because from what I've been hearing this doesn't seem like a common problem as it seems to be fine for most people but I'd like to know from people who may have had experience with Deamon Tool's talk to me directly about this to see if maybe there might be a fix because I really want the Saturn Emulator along with my other Sega Emulator's. If it also help's I use a Gateway windows 7 home premium computer with a Zotac GT 750 Ti, 6gb of DDR2 ram and a pentium D processor with 2.6ghz duel core. Thank you for your time.
gigapig Posted May 18, 2015 Posted May 18, 2015 What version of DT Lite are you using? And please post your HyperRocketLauncher log.
zerojay Posted May 18, 2015 Posted May 18, 2015 Some paragraphs to split up the wall of text wouldn't hurt either.
videogplayer12 Posted May 18, 2015 Author Posted May 18, 2015 My apologizes for writing long summarized messages, it's a horrible habit I have that I really need to work on as I understand that typing incoherently and dragging things on is not ideal and can easily lose people. As for getting my HyperRocketLauncher Log, I must also apologize as I am new to Hyperspin and there for am still learning all the ropes of the program so I'm not quite sure how to get the log, so if you could tell me where I can find it I'd gladly provide it here for you. Also I don't have Deamon Tool's installed anymore and I'm scared to do so after what happened, so I wouldn't have any log's regarding that if that's one of the reason's you want it. As for the version of Deamon Tools I had it was version 5.1 I believe one of the newer releases.
