Clone Roms... Can I hide duplicates in Hyperspin?

Also, what dictates the games list in Hyperspin? For instance I have MAME .147 and the ROM set that goes with it... but there are a few games in that set that appear when I run MAME but not when I run Hyperspin... the list doesn't reflect a complete list of ROMs I have. So I was wondering how to update that list. Maybe use HyperSync? Dont' know. I use HyperSync to get pictures and movies for my games, but maybe there's a way to update the game list through this UI. Not sure.

Thanks for helping me out.

Part one...easy.

HyperQ > Wheel Settings > Mame > Navigation/Themes > under wheel filters, select "Parents Only"

Part two...I'll let someone else chime in on the correct answer to that one. :call2:

Non-working Mame games won't go into the list. that's why. Don't see why you'd want to update your list to include thousands of non-working games.

Zero Dreams,

Thanks!

Brolly,

When there's a new MAME released with operational ROMs that weren't working in the previous release... how does Hyperspin determine what works and what doesn't work? There are some inoperable ROMs that are definitely included in the list. That being said is the list synced through HyperSync?

Hyperspin doesn't determine anything, whenever a new Mame version is released I update the list on Hyperlist and you'll need to grab it, I have no idea if HyperSync syncs the databases or not you'll have to ask the HyperSync gurus about that.

What inoperable roms are you talking about? I go by the Mame driver info anyway, I can't actually test every single game on every single release to see if they are working or not, so if a game is marked as working on the driver info and isn't that should be reported on mametesters.

Thanks brolly, those xmls filtered out everything i wanted :)

btw, if anyone else has this problem, put them in your database folder in the matching system folder.

in my case that would be : F:\arcade\hyperspin\Databases\MAME\
