Thanks for reading my guide. You most likely have three problems going on here. problem 1: your rom names do not match the names of the games in the xml database file problem 2: you do not understand how HyperSpin databases work. Here is a link to an explanation of their contents. http://www.hyperspin-fe.com/forum/showthread.php?29481-How-to-install-HyperSpin&p=292110&viewfull=1#post292110 problem 3: you should get and use HyperTools. Link for HyperTools in the last step.

Start at step number 2 of the git instructions in that link. I will update my first post to clear up this confusion.

my script recognizes controllers if they are turned on while hyperspin is running. It will apply the same control settings to the new controller. But it does have a small 5 second delay recognizing new controllers. It will also not recognize a new controller if another controller has been actively used within the last 4 seconds.
-
Try it, see if it works, if not use xpadder. The script can not tell the difference between a 360 controller and a flightstick. So multiple controllers of different types may or may not work. Multiple Controllers of the same type will work. By default it's mapped to the 360 controls which covers the majority of controllers out there regardless of type due to games being made for this controller on the pc. A 2 button controller with a joystick and/or dpad will give all of the basic functionality needed to navigate HyperSpin. HyperLaunch's exit emulator key should give you a way to exit out of all of your emulators. The controls in this script are only active when HyperSpin is the active window.
-
At most it should take a little less than 5 seconds if just turned on a controller. It takes my script about 4 to 5 seconds to recognize a new controller. So if it is greater than 5 seconds it has to be that HyperSpin is still loading.
-
It's a Windows XP compatibility thing from when they changes how the sound controls work. Right now it only works on Vista. I'll have an updated script by Saturday that checks for the operating system and use the appropriate sound code based on that.

I don't know. Try it and let me know.

No, I will not change the HyperLaunch name I'm looking for until the master git version of HyperLaunch changes the name. My reasons for this is posted in that 3rd party program's thread. http://www.hyperspin-fe.com/forum/showthread.php?37888-My-HyperSearch-for-HyperSpin-(Fr-amp-En)&p=359279&viewfull=1#post359279

updated the first post with v1.07 of the HyperSpin Startup Script.
-
If 26 steps is bad than 34 steps must be better. You are welcome. Thanks for noticing this, I have updated the steps in the guide to reflect this change.

Thank you for the kind words.

Sorry for the delay guys, been busy reinstalling hyperspin on my new computer. I will stop my attempt at integrating hyperspin event dispatch system for my next version and just realease an interim version that opens up the controls to be somewhat customizable. @suspendedhatch See if the back button actuallly works in a game with native 360 support. The button opposite the start button. Not if Hyperspin starts up the startup script. Now if the startup script could start up HyperSpin, you could add hyperspin to the process to close settings. I haven't exactly tested this. On my setup a test would look like this. I have not tested this yet. [startup] Process_Name_To_Close_1= HyperSpin.exe Program_To_Run_Target_1= C:\HyperSpin\Hyperspin.exe
-
the remaps only work on an active hyperspin screen, I will not change this. Other programs will need to add native joystick support. So yes this is a question for the hypersearch guy.
-
No bug here. You can see an example of another way of doing this in the first post for the example of Program_To_Run_Target_1. I've dropped built-in support, but you can still start xpadder or joytokey using the program to run options.
-
quicklaunch has nothing to do with the intro video at startup. It has everything to do with a sidebar though for you to be able to launch the same items from anywhere in the hyperspin menus. For example hyperhq is on mine and hyperlaunchhq.
-
what does the expression "to hand" mean?
-
You have Joystick_Enabled set to false in your example. Meaning joysticks are off. The click back issue is because this was tested on my fast computer and not the slow one. The slow one I have has the same no active issue alt-tab as you describe. Some people find it helps enabling the intro video. In the meantime you will need to wait for the next version.

See how the cpu does when hyperspin is not the active window. That's when it really matters. The y axis controls the wheel spin. When it is neutral or 50% of the way no spin occurs. If it at 0% spin down occurs If it is at 100% spin up occurs. You may want to see what is going on in the control panel gamepad configuration properties (joy.cpl).

There is nothing I can do on my end until I get some wiimotes to test with. Try turning the wii motes off before you return to hyperspin see if this helps.
-
Interesting bug. Easy fix. So to get this error in the next versions you will need to have 6 people pressing buttons at a rate of 20 times per second. If you can do this please contact the book of world records.
-
Yeah I can switch favorites from button 7 to button 4.
-
I was finally able to reproduce the hanging thing on my end. Look for a fix in the next version I upload.

Your antivius is just acting paranoid. Here are the results from virustotal.com which is a website that will scan your file using the majority of the popular antivirus detection programs.
