Thanks r0man0, I couldn't figure out how to organise/edit the games in Notepad++ by genres like you can in excel so I used the mame_no_casino_clones_mahjong_mature_quiz.xml you linked and its working great in Hyperspin. Now if I'm running Mame standalone without hyperspin, it shows all games, Mame's databases are .ini I guess, Is there anyway I can export this xml to the .ini for Mame standalone also. thanks

Trying to make my setup kid friendly, I tried editing the Mame.xml in Excel 2003 to remove card/casino/fruit/mahjong/mature stuff but haven't had any luck, first the excel won't save as xml data saying the xml maps are not exportable, I tried saving as xml spreadsheet but HyperSpin wont read it. How can I edit the Mame.xml? thanks

Thank you r0man0 for this database, really like the comprehensive categories and sorting. Noob question, how do i get them to work in HyperSpin, I deleted the existing xml's and extracted these in Hyperspin\Databases\MAME but HS says can't find Mame.xml. Do I use one folder at a time or put all the xml files directly in root, I know I'm doing something wrong here, please help. thanks
