  1. Right, but that was for version 2.0.179. Ok. well, being there's no release notes. I'll just wait for the next version release and see if it's fixed then.
  2. dreamw's post has nothing to do with the issue I'm having and is drawing attention away from the issue I'm reporting. Please ignore their post and respond to mine.
  3. MAME system creation continues to fail when using the option for only your ROM list. The MAME Plugin gets stuck at 5% at the Preparing MAME Install during the Setup Process. This issue has been occurring over several versions and has not been resolved. The full MAME database option works. Why is that option even there? It just loads all the crap you don't have in addition to what you do have and gums everything up. Totally unnecessary. If you're going to keep that option, at least have a setting in the wheel that allows only the ROMS you have to remain in the wheel and not display absolutely everything.
  4. Installed the latest version of HyperHQ, 2.0.179, with a clean install. I noticed that after the HyperSpin plugin installed, there was no HyperSpin logo on my desktop. When I tried creating the MAME system, the process kept getting stuck at the version selection screen because there were no versions listed. I figured the plugin wasn't active, so I went to the plugins screen and clicked on "Start" on the MAME plugin. An error message popped up saying the MAME.EXE could not be found. I went to the plugins folder in HyperSpin and opened the MAME folder. The only items in there are the icon folder with the MAME PNG file and the metadata.json file. Out of curiosity I went into all the other folders in the Plugins folder and they all had the same thing. Just the icon folder with the PNG file in it for whatever the plugin is and the metadata.json file. Please see the images below.
  5. I just noticed that you are reporting this on version 2.0.34. This is also occurring in the latest version, 2.0.150, which I had reported just before your report. I almost feel this may be a connection issue as opposed to a coding issue.
  6. I would like to add that it's not just the most recent version of MAME. It's all versions of MAME. The most recent version is not a contributing factor to the issue.
  7. While creating the MAME System, the System Creation wizard fails after selecting the MAME Version. It's left with a short, wide & empty window with an to close it. Please see screen shots of the actions to reproduce below.
  8. When this section of the Bug Reporting was first posted, everything that was fixed in the new version was reported so we could retest and make sure the issues were resolved. There has not been a "Release Notes" post in this section in God knows how long. How are we supposed to know if any new features have been added, new code been introduced or any issues resolved when there's nothing stating that? We are just blindly assuming that any issues we had in the past have been resolved and any new features are just there to discover. Can the coders please take the time to issue a set of release notes whenever a new release is provided. Also, there have been some versions that have been pretty major updates to the original code. We should at least be on version 2.3.X or 2.4.X by now, not still on 2.0.X. Also, I would like to suggest that being this section has been invaded with Bug Reports instead of Completed Tasks, that a whole new page be created for Release Notes and only admins working on the code have access to create records.
  9. Also experiencing this issue. I even changed my password on the emu movies site and logged in to my account there but it still won't log in when starting HyperHQ for the first time.
  10. Since July there have been three versions released. Versions 2.0.84, 2.0.95 and 2.0.102.
  11. They're talking about the latest release of version 2.0.102. There are several new issues with this release. I am planning on documenting soon.
  12. Just as an FYI, after installing the newest version of HyperHQ, version 2.0.102, a newer version of the HyperSpin Plugin was also installed. It has resolved the HyperSpin being stuck issue. But there are now a few new issues. I will be documenting them soon. Thanks for all your input @rondar.
  13. After the last update to HyperHQ, ver. 2.0.85, Hyper Spin gets stuck at just past the ... on, "Loading system and rom assets..." I have already uninstalled and reinstalled HyperHQ with no change. I was hoping someone else would have logged it by now, but I don t see anyone else doing it. Maybe I'm the only one with the issue. hyperspin-2025-10-03-04-20-31.log
  14. Yeah, I went there. Definitely not the same as the HyperList site. I have a feeling it's gone and no one is curating it anymore.
  15. When I go to the link I have bookmarked, the website throws a can't be found error. I'm hoping it's still there but it's just having issues.
  16. I completely disagree with your statement that "There's nothing more important than media display." If you look at my BUG post about that very issue, it's not the media display that's broken. It's the verification of ROMs that's broken. If no ROMs are added to the system, then there's nothing to display. From a software implementation perspective, functionality should always come before aesthetics, otherwise the application is useless. Aesthetics don't break applications, changes in functionality do.
  17. Hoping this gets resolved soon. This is a BLOCKER/SHOW STOPPER level failure. I am adding what little there is of the log for review. HyperHQ-2025-07-14-20-20-57.log
  18. Because technically there's no system to delete. Even though it shows the system on the left, it doesn't exist yet. Definitely borked.
  19. I just installed this latest version and I really like the new features that have been incorporated into the system creation wizard. I did find however, that when the process of creating the system begins, the box that was positioned at the top right of the screen that showed the ROMs being validated is no longer there. The number of ROMs that are displayed next to the system on the left is always zero. It makes no difference which system you try to create, the results are the same. I fell if that portion was fixed, the rest of the process would fall into place. It does download and install Retroarch and MAME. But for MAME, it actually shows the progress bar, like it's validating the ROMs, but I don't believe it actually is. MAME even shows and error dialog box that states the system failed to be created. In the images I've attached: 194436 shows my file extensions are correct for the 5200 194615 shows Retroarch being installed 194653 shows the dialog box showing the validation of ROMNs missing from the upper right corner 002043 shows the error dialog that the system creation for MAME has failed
  20. Here is the problem: Normally, when you add a system, it checks the roms in your folder against a list to make sure they can be added. If you notice, the rom count next to the system is always zero, no matter what system or how many systems you add. HQ is not checking the roms, so it doesn't know what media to bring in because according to HQ, there are no roms to bring in media for.
  21. These are dev questions, not bugs. I was asking about features that used to be in Hyperspin 1.5.1. How do you change the settings so it does show, how to change the sounds on the wheel from video game sounds to clicks, and where do you change the amount of time before attract mode activates. Yes, everything else is working, for the most part, but there are a lot of settings we had access to in 1.5.1 that are just not there in 2.0.62
  22. I added some functionality questions back at the beginning of March and it's been almost three months. I see my questions have been viewed well over 300 times each, but the admins haven't answered them yet. Seems like more focus is on HT than HQ and HS, which without HQ and HS, HT wouldn't need to exist. I was really hoping for more config changes, additions, and features in HQ.
  23. Issue resolved in HQ 2.0.60. Yes, it was a clean install for all instances. The thing is, I shouldn't have to do a clean install every time there's an update. The update itself should not break something simply because it is overwriting files and changes the process.
  24. When ever I stop then start HyperHQ, it performs the auto update which scans and updates the ROM list. The first issue is that the progress bar gets stuck at 70%. This appears to be just for MAME ever since doing a clean install of HQ version 2.0.60. Adding the log file for review. The second issue I have actually noticed in past versions, but when it started again in this newest version, I decided to report it. Every time the system auto updates, the number of ROMS displayed next to the system keeps increasing. Not unusual if there were ROMS I added since the last time I had HQ open. However, I have not added any new ROMS. In my ROMS directory, I only have 3,505 game ROMS, yet if you look at the image I added, I am now showing 4,309 in HQ. I have added a screen shot of the number of ROMS I have selected in my ROMS directory. Before I did a clean install of the newest version, the number of ROMs displayed in HQ for MAME was over 6,000. HQ Screen Shot Number of ROMs in my directory HyperHQ-2025-04-23-17-54-58.log
