I just installed this latest version and I really like the new features that have been incorporated into the system creation wizard. I did find however, that when the process of creating the system begins, the box that was positioned at the top right of the screen that showed the ROMs being validated is no longer there. The number of ROMs that are displayed next to the system on the left is always zero. It makes no difference which system you try to create, the results are the same. I fell if that portion was fixed, the rest of the process would fall into place. It does download and install Retroarch and MAME. But for MAME, it actually shows the progress bar, like it's validating the ROMs, but I don't believe it actually is. MAME even shows and error dialog box that states the system failed to be created. In the images I've attached: 194436 shows my file extensions are correct for the 5200 194615 shows Retroarch being installed 194653 shows the dialog box showing the validation of ROMNs missing from the upper right corner 002043 shows the error dialog that the system creation for MAME has failed

new update no rom and no media
DarkTemplarGS commented on Fraggle99's record in HyperSpin 2 - Bug Reporting
Here is the problem: Normally, when you add a system, it checks the roms in your folder against a list to make sure they can be added. If you notice, the rom count next to the system is always zero, no matter what system or how many systems you add. HQ is not checking the roms, so it doesn't know what media to bring in because according to HQ, there are no roms to bring in media for. -
QUESTION: Will My Questions Ever Get Answered?
DarkTemplarGS commented on DarkTemplarGS's record in HyperSpin 2 - Development Questions
These are dev questions, not bugs. I was asking about features that used to be in Hyperspin 1.5.1. How do you change the settings so it does show, how to change the sounds on the wheel from video game sounds to clicks, and where do you change the amount of time before attract mode activates. Yes, everything else is working, for the most part, but there are a lot of settings we had access to in 1.5.1 that are just not there in 2.0.62 -
I added some functionality questions back at the beginning of March and it's been almost three months. I see my questions have been viewed well over 300 times each, but the admins haven't answered them yet. Seems like more focus is on HT than HQ and HS, which without HQ and HS, HT wouldn't need to exist. I was really hoping for more config changes, additions, and features in HQ.

When ever I stop then start HyperHQ, it performs the auto update which scans and updates the ROM list. The first issue is that the progress bar gets stuck at 70%. This appears to be just for MAME ever since doing a clean install of HQ version 2.0.60. Adding the log file for review. The second issue I have actually noticed in past versions, but when it started again in this newest version, I decided to report it. Every time the system auto updates, the number of ROMS displayed next to the system keeps increasing. Not unusual if there were ROMS I added since the last time I had HQ open. However, I have not added any new ROMS. In my ROMS directory, I only have 3,505 game ROMS, yet if you look at the image I added, I am now showing 4,309 in HQ. I have added a screen shot of the number of ROMS I have selected in my ROMS directory. Before I did a clean install of the newest version, the number of ROMs displayed in HQ for MAME was over 6,000. I have recently upgraded to version .60. The version before that I was having problems with just the auto import of ROMs for MAME, but now I'm seeing it for all systems. Based on the logs, it looks like the tasks are completing, it's just the progress bars are not completing and closing. I've turned off Auto Import for the time being, but that's just a work around to make the progress bars not show up. Please see the image below for reference.

Just wondering if there's going to be any resolution to this? I see it's been viewed quite a bit, but in two weeks, no admin has responded to say it's being looked at. I hope this gets some resolution soon. This makes QA testing quite difficult not knowing if this is affecting other aspects of the application.

Add Hyperspeech to Hyperspin 2 ?
DarkTemplarGS commented on Creezz67's record in HyperSpin 2 - Enhancement Requests
Exactly! With some new coding, an option to set it to on or off, and a settings page once it's turned on. -
After this last update to HyperHQ, version 2.0.54, the media does not display in HyperSpin. The clear logos are missing from the wheel and none of the videos play. I have tried deleting all media and reinstalling using the HyperHQ tool, and I cleared all caches. But when I start HyperSpin, all of the wheel art is text and the videos are the default TV static video. All of the videos and logos are in their corresponding media folders after they were downloaded from EmuMovies by HyperSpin. It appears they're not being associated to the games properly.

BUG: MAME Won't Install
DarkTemplarGS commented on DarkTemplarGS's record in HyperSpin 2 - Bug Reporting
It's any version of MAME. I tried multiple versions. -
I am having the same problem. However, mine appears to finish, but apparently doesn't. This is after my last clean install and upgrade download.

I completely deleted everything to do a clean install of the latest version. When I downloaded and installed HyperHQ, I rebooted and checked to see if the version was up to date. It said there was a new version so I downloaded it. Supposedly I am running 2.0.45. When I try to add MAME as a system. It goes through all the normal procedure up to the point where it's unpacking and installing. At that point it just sits there churning. The insytall window does not pop up like it used to and I checked in the HyperSpin Emulator folder and nothing is happening. The MAME .exe is still sitting in the _temp folder in the C:\Program Data\HyperSpin\emulators directory. No log for HyperHQ so I can't attach it. So, DEAD IN THE WATER...AGAIN.

Ok guys. I finally figured out what the issue was and HyperSpin is now functioning. First I'll let you know what the issue was, then I'll offer some recommendations on how to help with something like this in the future. The issue was that I am using an older machine. I connected my DVI to HDMI cable to the video port on the motherboard so I could update my NVIDIA graphics card drivers. The problem was, that I never put the cable back and the onboard graphics chip is not strong enough to handle HS new HD display. Once I moved the cable to my graphics card, HyperSpin was running like a champ. Now, I would have never even thought to check that until I went back through the steps that I went through to get this computer ready to use it exclusively for testing HQ and HS. What I would like to recommend is error pop ups. HS was obviously erroring out or just getting stuck, but having something pop up stating that was occurring would be an extremely helpful tool in the future. Another thing that kind of threw me, is the HS log only contained three lines in it (please see log I attached earlier in the thread. Is the logging not set to a higher level and that's why there's only the three lines? Can you please look into that when you have a chance? I know you guys are busy, but I feel these two things would go a long way in resolving issues without relying on you all so much.

Provide options during the uninstall process: "Light" uninstall: Runs the process as it is now. This leaves some files and directories in place that are used by HyperHQ and HyperSpin when it is re-installed. "Full" Uninstall: Removes all files and directories associated with HyperHQ and HyperSpin. Deletes HS folder from ProgramData. Deletes .HyperHQ and .Hyperspin from the C:\Users\*user* folder. Deletes HyperHQ and Hyperspin folders from the C:\Users\*user*\AppData folder. This would allow the option of a true clean install when HyperHQ is re-installed.
