  1. I completely disagree with your statement that "There's nothing more important than media display." If you look at my BUG post about that very issue, it's not the media display that's broken. It's the verification of ROMs that's broken. If no ROMs are added to the system, then there's nothing to display. From a software implementation perspective, functionality should always come before aesthetics, otherwise the application is useless. Aesthetics don't break applications, changes in functionality do.
  2. Hoping this gets resolved soon. This is a BLOCKER/SHOW STOPPER level failure. I am adding what little there is of the log for review. HyperHQ-2025-07-14-20-20-57.log
  3. Because technically there's no system to delete. Even though it shows the system on the left, it doesn't exist yet. Definitely borked.
  4. I just installed this latest version and I really like the new features that have been incorporated into the system creation wizard. I did find however, that when the process of creating the system begins, the box that was positioned at the top right of the screen that showed the ROMs being validated is no longer there. The number of ROMs that are displayed next to the system on the left is always zero. It makes no difference which system you try to create, the results are the same. I fell if that portion was fixed, the rest of the process would fall into place. It does download and install Retroarch and MAME. But for MAME, it actually shows the progress bar, like it's validating the ROMs, but I don't believe it actually is. MAME even shows and error dialog box that states the system failed to be created. In the images I've attached: 194436 shows my file extensions are correct for the 5200 194615 shows Retroarch being installed 194653 shows the dialog box showing the validation of ROMNs missing from the upper right corner 002043 shows the error dialog that the system creation for MAME has failed
  5. Here is the problem: Normally, when you add a system, it checks the roms in your folder against a list to make sure they can be added. If you notice, the rom count next to the system is always zero, no matter what system or how many systems you add. HQ is not checking the roms, so it doesn't know what media to bring in because according to HQ, there are no roms to bring in media for.
  6. These are dev questions, not bugs. I was asking about features that used to be in Hyperspin 1.5.1. How do you change the settings so it does show, how to change the sounds on the wheel from video game sounds to clicks, and where do you change the amount of time before attract mode activates. Yes, everything else is working, for the most part, but there are a lot of settings we had access to in 1.5.1 that are just not there in 2.0.62
  7. I added some functionality questions back at the beginning of March and it's been almost three months. I see my questions have been viewed well over 300 times each, but the admins haven't answered them yet. Seems like more focus is on HT than HQ and HS, which without HQ and HS, HT wouldn't need to exist. I was really hoping for more config changes, additions, and features in HQ.
  8. Issue resolved in HQ 2.0.60. Yes, it was a clean install for all instances. The thing is, I shouldn't have to do a clean install every time there's an update. The update itself should not break something simply because it is overwriting files and changes the process.
  9. When ever I stop then start HyperHQ, it performs the auto update which scans and updates the ROM list. The first issue is that the progress bar gets stuck at 70%. This appears to be just for MAME ever since doing a clean install of HQ version 2.0.60. Adding the log file for review. The second issue I have actually noticed in past versions, but when it started again in this newest version, I decided to report it. Every time the system auto updates, the number of ROMS displayed next to the system keeps increasing. Not unusual if there were ROMS I added since the last time I had HQ open. However, I have not added any new ROMS. In my ROMS directory, I only have 3,505 game ROMS, yet if you look at the image I added, I am now showing 4,309 in HQ. I have added a screen shot of the number of ROMS I have selected in my ROMS directory. Before I did a clean install of the newest version, the number of ROMs displayed in HQ for MAME was over 6,000. HQ Screen Shot Number of ROMs in my directory HyperHQ-2025-04-23-17-54-58.log

  11. Still having the same media issues after upgrade to 2.0.60.
  12. I have recently upgraded to version .60. The version before that I was having problems with just the auto import of ROMs for MAME, but now I'm seeing it for all systems. Based on the logs, it looks like the tasks are completing, it's just the progress bars are not completing and closing. I've turned off Auto Import for the time being, but that's just a work around to make the progress bars not show up. Please see the image below for reference.
  13. Just wondering if there's going to be any resolution to this? I see it's been viewed quite a bit, but in two weeks, no admin has responded to say it's being looked at. I hope this gets some resolution soon. This makes QA testing quite difficult not knowing if this is affecting other aspects of the application.
  14. Exactly! With some new coding, an option to set it to on or off, and a settings page once it's turned on.
  15. After this last update to HyperHQ, version 2.0.54, the media does not display in HyperSpin. The clear logos are missing from the wheel and none of the videos play. I have tried deleting all media and reinstalling using the HyperHQ tool, and I cleared all caches. But when I start HyperSpin, all of the wheel art is text and the videos are the default TV static video. All of the videos and logos are in their corresponding media folders after they were downloaded from EmuMovies by HyperSpin. It appears they're not being associated to the games properly.
  16. Where did downloads for user created content go? Like the current MAME NO NAG files?
  17. Is there any way that the functionality of HyperSpeech can be incorporated into HyperHQ for use in HyperSpin? HyperSpeech 1.0.1.zip
  18. In the previous version of HyperSpin, you could either select the video game sounds or the "click" sound when cycling through the wheel. Is there anywhere in this version of HyperHQ to change that setting? I find the video game sounds to be a little annoying after a while.
  19. Is there anywhere in the setting to set the amount of time HyperSpin waits before spinning?
  20. After moving to a system in the system wheel or a game in the game wheel, the wheel will disappear. Is there any way to make the wheel stay showing?
  21. HyperHQ version .49 fixed the issue. THANKS!!!
  22. It's any version of MAME. I tried multiple versions.
  23. I am having the same problem. However, mine appears to finish, but apparently doesn't. This is after my last clean install and upgrade download.
  24. I believe that it would be extremely helpful to see the version number displayed somewhere on the main screen.
