justice999 Posted June 27, 2015 Posted June 27, 2015 Hello guys, I'm using front covers for many games systems. Since PNG's are sometimes heavy (even resized), I would like to know how can I optimize the size without a loss of quality. Any recommended software for batching all my wheels? Thanks in advance.
justice999 Posted June 27, 2015 Author Posted June 27, 2015 I use FSResizer for batching PNGs, but filters makes pictures heavy, and if I set no filter, PNGs look really bad...
ninja2bceen Posted June 27, 2015 Posted June 27, 2015 Yes look at the third party apps. I believe I posted fsresizer or whatever it's called. It's good (Tapatalk)
justice999 Posted June 28, 2015 Author Posted June 28, 2015 You were talking about Bulk Image Converter ? It gives me an error everytime I try to convert PNG to PNG. I recommend this wonderful freeware: https://pngquant.org/ There is a GUI and .bat mode. Edit: This soft is insane, its like day and night! Good for NDS/WII wheels (if you are using covers as a wheels).

justice999 Posted June 28, 2015 Author Posted June 28, 2015 Yes it's just for compression, nothing more. Thanks for you review
justice999 Posted June 28, 2015 Author Posted June 28, 2015 Well damn. I use FSResizer to resize PNGs since it includes good filters (lancozs) and this tiny freeware to compress them.
Metalzoic Posted June 28, 2015 Posted June 28, 2015 Yeah I use that too. Was just hoping you had found us something better.
dougan78 Posted June 28, 2015 Posted June 28, 2015 Mogrify in image magic works for resizes as well if you are good at command line it's an option. It will let you do percentages and stuff.
