delt31
Thanks to a lot of member feedback and guidance with Hypersin, I have my MAME arcade up and running. Of course the arcade is using Hyperspin to work and wanted to share this video for those interested in how it looks, plays, etc. Something special (IMO) is that I've connected it to my xbox one for Killer Instinct (of course). Great to play that game the way it was intended - in an arcade! Also show off driving wheel and light gun.
lildivaaa
Hello delt31, I'm liking what you're doing here. I too have most of the same setup, X-Arcade Tankstick, Rec Room Master's Xtension Arcade cabinet, etc. I haven't gone with the sterring wheel yet or the light gun. Those are future plans. For now, it's all the old school arcade classics for me (I'm 46, so I grew up with all of the classic arcade games). So, I'm doing MAME, Daphne (laserdisc emulator for games like Dragon's Lair, etc), getting ready to start configuring Atari 2600 soon. Where mine differs slightly from yours is I have what I call an "Active Marquee". Meaning I have a second monitor in place where the backlit marquee space is and it changes depending on the game I select! Now, being that it's a standard monitor...half of it sticks through the top of the cabinet. Solution for this...turn the second half of the monitor into "Advertisment" space that revolves every 20 seconds with random images that "fit" the theme of my cabinet. I'll post a video overview of my project soon so you'll understand better. Oh...BTW, Rec Room Masters is located here in my home state of Georgia. Actually just a few miles from my home. So, I actually picked up my cabinet directly from them. I met the president of the company also and he took me on a tour of their office. I agree with you...I can't say enough good things about them. They really treat their customers well. Mainly because they're arcade enthusiasts like us. In any case...great job on your project!!! Thanks, Craig - Atlanta, Ga. Metalzoic
Interesting. I considered one of these for my own cab, although not this exact one, but the slightly wider non-tankstick version. Looks nice. Although you have some serious cable management to do behind that TV buddy!
delt31
I'm really interested to see how that Active Marquee looks and what the cost is considering it's running off a second monitor if I understand correctly. Any additional details and video would be appreciated. Thanks for the input - I'm really happy with how it turned out. As for cable management - that ship has sailed at this point. I know where the ends are!!!
scheib43
Nice setup. What type of wheel are you using with pedals? Any issues with gun calibration? I have having a hell of a time getting my Arcade Guns calibrated correctly.

delt31
Using the Logitech GT Wheel and it works great. Calibration was really simple with the aimtrak. Got the calibration program and held down the trigger and lined up the targets and all good. Might be too much light?
