jmmagic Posted July 25, 2015 Posted July 25, 2015 I am having the hardest time getting visual pin ball to open in hyperspin. Opens fine in the visual pinball program. I have searched these forums and tried all the suggestions. I was hoping somebody might be able to help me. Just let me know what info you need from me and I will get it. Thanks a lot
Dubbloseven Posted July 26, 2015 Posted July 26, 2015 need more info and details on what you have setup, and the errors your receiving or problems you have. double check the Table names match the xml or database properly. in the Global emu's point the to the right .exe .... In hyperlaunch/rocketlaunch make sure the rom path points ... one to the tables, and another points to the roms that match the tables. (2 rom paths) hope that helps a bit. good luck and have fun. volumetric Posted July 26, 2015 Posted July 26, 2015 You shouldn't need two rom paths in there, just the table path. Pinmame takes care of the rom path automatically. Helpful details would be whether or not you're running Hyperspin with Hyperlaunch or Rocketlaunch (or nothing). If running Rocketlaunch, set your log to trouble shooting in RLGUI and post the contents using code tags.
faydra6410 Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 Your rom path is to your tables. I only have it pointing to tables in visual pinball not pinmame roms. I also nixed the hyperlist visualpinball.xml as it only helped with a few of my games. I used the generate list, under system emulator, above rom path, first button. Try that see if it is the name causing the bother. Also you have to manually run every table because there is a pop up on first run.
rfancella Posted July 30, 2015 Posted July 30, 2015 You should not have to run every table. Are you using the VisualPinMAME addon? This along with the module should automagicaly clear the popup for your. Thanks, Ron Your rom path is to your tables. I only have it pointing to tables in visual pinball not pinmame roms. rfancella Posted August 3, 2015 Posted August 3, 2015 Once you extracted the contents of VisualPinMAME into your VisualPinball emulator directory, did you run the Setup and install VisualPinMAME? Set the paths? Be sure the ROM path points to the Pinball Machine Roms and not the actuall tables.
