LSDguy
Hey homies, Questions about Retroarch here. I see and hear about it everywhere. I don't know much about it. I know it's a system that is an all encompassing emulator using cores. But from what I understand the Setup can be a pain. I still have all my old emu's setup, just like a like em. Why is it worth the change to Retroarch and what would be the simplest way to go about it? Best, Steve
SIMPLYAUSTIN
Its like MESS but for more current systems. Loads of systems from 1 install there has been an update in the GUI but to be honest the systems that we use they all emulatte exactly the same. This may help you get your head around the install bit anyways Welcome back dude!
pofo14
Hey Steve, I am in the same boat as you. Trying to find the time to update my cabinet to the latest HS etc. I decided to use retroarch to simplify the emulator setup. It has a little learning curve but once you get over that it is pretty straight forward. I like it as it reduces the # of emulators and has some nice features such as shaders which are similar to HLSL settings in mame. Just wanted to give my two cents. trebukenz
I prefer the shaders infinitely better, but if your going for the original authentic feel to the games it may not be for you. I prefer the enhanced visuals when I can; it gives the systems something new. Xbox 360 controller support was also a big plus for me. You can have a great Hyperspin setup with just Retroarch. The Mess core drives me mad. I have had no luck getting it to work with anything. (Is the UME core working?) It just works well once you get the hand of it. LSDguy
Xbox 360 controller works well for me as I am setup now. Shaders would definitely be interesting. One day I may take the time to consolidate everything I can into retroarch Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N910A using Tapatalk

Probably half way there on my setup. Then I end up playing games instead. . I like the shaders. Easy updating. Easy to configure. Keep at it!! Good luck!
