is there up to date compatibility list for SSF?

Honestly, I'm not sure. This isn't the method I use.

Instead, I setup everything within Rocket Launcher under Alternate Emulators in the system wheel. Then I set up each game in the Alternate list on the game list as well (at work, so I don't remember exactly what these tabs are called, but it's all pretty straight forward.)

I took a break from this 'cause I'm super busy this week, but I'll be back on it this weekend. Hopefully I'll have the list done soon. :)

This is how someone helped me set up my Sega CD games. Any chance you will make a write up and upload the necessary files? I would like to cross Sega Saturn off my list.

I should have clarified initially when I posted that list: it's the alternate emulators I use for Saturn. Basically it was just a reference for people who needed to see which version of the emu you would need for certain games.

Yes indeed! My first pass through I got almost 400 games working with a single set up of SSF. When I first started, tons of games were screwy in some way. I found that switching to version 0.12 Beta R3 (instead of the most recent R4) was much more compatible. It could still be that R4 is better with the majority of the list, but at least with games in the A's I was having much better luck with R3, so I stuck with that for the rest.

I started working on launching games that I can find compatibility info on (thanks JoeC!). I'm also using these lists:

So far, Astal is the only one I've had problems with. Giga posted his SSF ini for me to try out (thanks Giga!). For now, I've skipped over it, but I'll come back to it. I'm going to write up a compatibility guide with some tips on how to get some problematic games working. For example, games with wavs and mp3s return an error in Rocket Launcher, but you can easily fix them. I'll cover that too.

I'd like to then go through N64, Sega CD and the PSX games that I care about.

I'm still using Kega Fusion for Genesis and CD. I couldn't immediately get Retroarch working for CD and Genesis ended up having insanely messed up controls for me, so I just reverted back. If it ain't broke...

Btw, if anyone has a list of Sega CD games that need or don't need Perfect Sync, that'd be awesome!

I'm getting all of this ready to finally put my HS in a cabinet, so I don't want any errors. I can live with tweaking on the fly on my PC, but not if I'm going to put it in front of people. I want everything to work as much as possible. When all of that is done, I'll continue making wheels :)

Off topic, but I use Project64 for N64 with no issues.

Thank you. I'm currently using Retroarch as my main, but also have a lot of experience with PJ64. Also, my assumption is you just haven't loaded the problematic games. Off the top of my head, I remember the following games having major issues:

Gauntlet Legends

Goemon's Great Adventure

Hey You, Pikachu!

Mario Tennis

I'm sure there are many more and I know several other games have minor issues. The goal is to clear up any issues for every game on the list as much as possible, using the least number of emulator set ups as possible. Hey You, Pikachu! for example, will probably not work on an emulator any time soon because it requires microphone support. I'm assuming that's quite a bit of work for a pretty much garbage game haha. If you want to try those games and report back that'd be great!

Just tested them. The only one that didn't work was Her You, Pikachu!

I am on Project64 2.2.0.3

How bout that? Good to know! Thanks for checking!

Edit: I see that my PJ64 is now out of date. Looks like I'm still on 2.1.0.1. Whelp, that explains it!

SSF Beta 3 version 2 is just another 0.12 Beta R3

Can you please make a quick writeup on how to use this?

Thanks
