gooch Posted May 11, 2013 Posted May 11, 2013 I am having a problem with the LEDBlinky use of the built in Windows 7 TTS engine. It only gives me the option of using Microsoft Anna, which is not as nice as some of the other voices I've heard used in YouTube videos. Does anyone know how to get additional voices for Windows 7? Additionally, the voice is quieter than I need it and I can't seem to adjust it. Thanks, /gg
jackhammersalm Posted May 11, 2013 Posted May 11, 2013 I take it you are using hyperspeech. Remember to rename the hyperspeech proxy to LEDblinky then redirect your hyperspin setting for the real LEDblinky to use both programs. This was a pain in the arse for another user some time ago. This was eventually sorted out. but not before causing a few issues. gooch Posted May 11, 2013 Author Posted May 11, 2013 I haven't tried to get HyperSpeech working yet. For the basic LEDBlinky TTS I'm only seeing Microsoft Anna in the drop down in the Control Panel, and that voice sounds terrible for gaming so I've turned it off. I want to know how to install other voices. I'll keep what you wrote in mind if I decide to try HyperSpeech.
gooch Posted May 12, 2013 Author Posted May 12, 2013 I found my answer. There are voices available on the Internet for purchase that are SAPI compliant with Windows 7. Once installed they are available within the LEDBlinky config.
trailervert Posted May 29, 2013 Posted May 29, 2013 Had the same problem, Anna is the only voice you get with Win7. @ greggooch, did you ever find a site with some variety?
gooch Posted May 30, 2013 Author Posted May 30, 2013 Loquendo has some good ones for sale. I think boogieman-nl uses one of their voices in the YouTube video. Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk 2

BoOgieman Posted June 6, 2013 Posted June 6, 2013 Hey guys, I'm back again... jackhammerslam is right, though I've used all kinds of voices of different brands, but I find the Loquendo US English voices to be working best. Keep in mind that if you use 32 bit voice in W7 64bit, you need to use de 32 bit sapi control panel to select the voices. it's hidden here: C:\Windows\SysWOW64\Speech\SpeechUX\sapi.cpl HyperSpeech - Text-To-Speech Voice Addon for HyperSpin
