Bruce Lee Posted May 23, 2013 Posted May 23, 2013 Hi everyone ! In fact since few days I have a problem with zinc emulator So, When i launch the emu with ZINc.exe in hyperlaunch, zinc flash a little and stop, and hyperlaunch it's running on background.... Impossible to run any game, i 've try with Aldo's ZiNc Front-End v2.2. exe (in HyperHQ) it loads the emulator game list first, i must choose my game and hit enter. What's going on !? Any ideas will be welcome Thanks in advance ! Ps: Sorry for my English
32assassin Posted May 23, 2013 Posted May 23, 2013 open up the zinc.ahk module in text or notepad you will get the instructions on how to set it up set up your emulator the zinc module requires you to download Aldo's ZiNc Front-End v2.2 or else it will not work. aside from that you also need to get the render.cfg and render.znc files for the emulator to work then read this your emulator exe is still ZINc.exe but it uses Aldo's controller files to work with hyperlaunch. http://www.hyperspin-fe.com/forum/showthread.php?24755-Why-ZiNc-use-Numbered-Roms
Bruce Lee Posted May 23, 2013 Author Posted May 23, 2013 AH ok thank you for your answer So if i have understood, i must have Aldo's ZiNc Front-End v2.2 in my exe in HyperHQ ?
32assassin Posted May 23, 2013 Posted May 23, 2013 no, you use Zinc.exe, my Zinc Hyper HQ config screen edit: if you do not have your roms in the default folder you need to make sure you change it in the Zinc emulator front end or Hypersin will not work. you need to install Aldo's ZiNc Front-End v2.2 because ;---------------------------------------------------------------------------- ; Zinc ; zinc.exe 1.1 ; by djvj ; 1.2 ; ; Notes: ; Script relies on a zinc.cfg in the emu dir which contains all the parameters sent to the emu ; This is made for you by using Aldo's ZiNc Front-End v2.2. ; Zinc uses numbers, not romnames to choose what game to load. Your database's game names should reflect this. ;---------------------------------------------------------------------------- from the link I posted you will see why you get the error (and how to fix it) zinc flash a little and stop, and hyperlaunch it's running on background.... from the video I posted you will see that I did not fix this error because Hyperlaunch will not load Zinc but if I have Hyperpin running and load Zinc IT WILL WORK.
Bruce Lee Posted May 23, 2013 Author Posted May 23, 2013 ok, i've correctly read your link, and i think i must creat Dummy Txt file to get it work and set it in HyperHQ So i don't understand why in your picture your Extention is ZIP it should be txt no ?? EDIT: Here is that was the dummy txt yes ! Thank you for your help man ! i could play arcade 32bit now ! You do not want to get it work with Txt file ?
32assassin Posted May 23, 2013 Posted May 23, 2013 no you need zip, the dummy files are just their as place holders, that's why they are dummy files. I did not add the dummy files because my Hyperspin set up loads Zinc correctly. look at my video (no dummy files created) when I load a rom through Hyperlaunch: zinc flash a little and stop, and hyperlaunch it's running on background.... Hyperspin: emulator loads as expected. if you add the dummy files Hyperlaunch: emulator loads as expected. Hyperspin: emulator loads as expected. by adding the dummy files all you do is get test launch your emulator with Hyperlaunch. you don't need them but they help
Bruce Lee Posted May 25, 2013 Author Posted May 25, 2013 Yes ok i have understand don't worry so, many thanks for your help ! it was a pain to get it work !
kaz321123 Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 In RocketLauncher, I replaced the module for zinc with: PSXMAME (v20090903 djvj 2.0).ahk And then it would launch in the auditing view, and also in my hyperspin. There's got to be some little error in the ZiNc (v1.1 djvj 2.0).ahk When I try PSXMAME module, however, a strange message pops up a little later saying something like I didn't choose the right module (lol). Just telling you what I tried that 'worked' for me.
kaz321123 Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 Hmm, I was using the wrong frontend. I was using zincFE 2.03, rofl. I'll try the right one now
kaz321123 Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 Ok, here's a fix...I edited the ahk file to Zinc a tiny bit... Other people might have come up with this too, but here it is. (I might be reinventing the wheel here)...but oh well: Original ahk file: " """--use-config-file=zinc.cf"""",emuPath My adjusted ahk file: " ""--use-config-file=zinc.cf""",emuPath See how I have one less quotes on both sides? This launched my games. Make sure to compile at the end with the correct autohotkey and all that jazz.
djvj Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 Thanks, updated module.
