Metalzoic Posted November 7, 2015 Posted November 7, 2015 I'd love to upgrade my standards 8-ways to U360's, but have a couple concerns before I spend $150+ per joystick. 1. Is the latest version of Hyperspin still incompatible with them in the wheels? If so is it an easy fix to get them to work? 2. You can load different configs such as 2-way, 4-way joysticks or diagonals for qbert. How well does that work? Does it work everytime or does it give you issues? How do you let HS/RL know which map to use for what game? 3. I prefer AAE Update 2 for my vector games over Mame. However AAE Update 2 won't normally run with an analog joystick plugged in. Is that the same for the U360? If so do you think that if I wired an on/off toggle switch to the U360 usb cable so I could flip it off that would get around the issue? 4. I'm also planning on adding the rotary top to both sticks. Anyone here use those and what do you think? Thanks
Metalzoic Posted November 8, 2015 Author Posted November 8, 2015 Also does anyone run separate 5v power to theirs so they can be used without the USB connected?
Metalzoic Posted November 9, 2015 Author Posted November 9, 2015 Someone here has to use these controllers...
gigapig Posted November 9, 2015 Posted November 9, 2015 Sorry I don't have the U360 but have considered the upgrade. For me it would mean changing from a wireless CP to a wired one, not a big deal considering the benefits.
