heykool69
My Hyperspin runs fine with games that i'd selected to play...except for Chase HQ. I see the game on my preview wheel. But when i tried to select the game, it kicks me back out to preview screen again. Is the file corrupted? I'm not getting any "missing rom" error or messages. What does something like this normally means? Thanks.
volumetric
Most of the time it means either the rom version doesn't match or you're missing a bios file. From memory chasehq doesn't require a bios, so it most likely an outdated rom file. Running the game directly from mame rather than HS should tell you what the problem is. I replaced it with another file and it worked. Didn't know these roms has versions. I'd thought it'll just run whatever roms you put in there. Thanks. heykool69
How do i find out what game ROM version i'm using? For example if i'm using my roms with Mame0.167? Only thing that i'd noticed on some roms are with regional letter ("u" or "j") at the end of some file names.
Yeuxkes
You could audit your roms with clrmamepro. It has an option to rebuild your database according to the mame version you are running. Google and youtube are your friend if you need help with the tool, it's not the easiest to use tho.
