How to convert YOUtube to MPEG for HS

Hey Guys

So i am ripping the games I have in PS2 that are missing videos. (there is a lot) I am using free ripper which downoads it to avi, I have tried Avidmux to trim the videos but I will not save tham as MPEG 4 or FLV propertly.. shows them black..

 

any suggestions? they wont show.

Leave them as avi or whatever format after trimming and batch handbrake them to mp4 or use ffmpeg.

I use that to download videos to use for Hyperspin... if I need a vid and  I can't find anywhere else... I just download it with that LINK and save it to .FLV

 

Between Google Images and Youtube you can get all the media you need for hyperspin (for the most part)

 

I also use http://picresize.com/ to rezie images I get from Google Images (mostly use it for MAIN MENU WHEELS.. when I download transparent system logos from Google Images)

except for the fact you'd have to do them one by one..... did you try inserting ss into the address bar. which allows you to save any youtube video as an mp4 to your PC ?? example after the www.^insert ss here^youtube.com/blahblahblah on the video your watching

 

insert ss in the address bar and hit enter, super simple; you can save any video as an mp4. only thing that way like i mentioned, you have to do it 1 video at a time, but they save almost instantly.

Yes I use Free you tube downloader, however the format is AVI and does not work in HS? I will try handbreak..

 

* Hand brake did the trick! thanks!!!  I am finding that ps2 is missing loads of videos.. I am wondering if I need to scan my xml vs the videos? maybe they are named wrong? AANy other sources? I downloaded all i can find on ftp.

I will upload once done but will be awhile I am only at d! Maybe someone could help. Mine are ripped from YouTube I try for 720p or better but some I can only get at 480. A few have logos in bottom corners too but it's a start . I download all the ones I could find off FTP etc seems most that are missing are Europe but there are some cool games so I will finish what I have in my database. I think I have 1300 games missing few hundred. I made a wack of wheels but won't post as I know they are not the quality they want as I just cut them out off of images.

I've used offliberty.com before and really liked it. I used it recently to grab a new intro video in HD.

The one I use saves it in multiple formats, mp4, flv, etc.
