My nulldc is missing from the globals.ini list but if choose the dreamcast option on the left it shows the module but not the file extensions.

Ive looked them up but seem to getting wrong ones.

Would someone mind checking thier rocketlauncher for the correct file extensions please?

Also have Mame, NES, SNES, Playstation and N64 set up in RL. When i open an emulator from the emu list it does bring up the console but i have to manually choose the game by selecting file yada yada.

So what do i do next?

Not sure what you are asking here... what emu list? in HS? what system? what game?

Awesome. Sorry if i confused you. I went back to the tutorial.

Ok in rocketlauncherUI i have the emulators amd rom paths chosen. It is a lil different than the others but i found everything. So i can now launch games straight from RL.

There is a bit about turning off deamon tools in most of the tutorials but cant find anything in RLUI about deamon tools.

So now i went to hyperHQ and configured the wheel settings and marked the show roms only on the wheel setting for each game.

I also used the hyperhq tool to remove the systems i dont have.

Now when i start hyperspin and try to select a system or game the wheel just starts spinning and doesnt seem like it will stop.

Not sure what tutorial you followed... Should've been HERE and HERE. Neither of them mention DTLite (only need this for Sega Saturn that I know of). If you don't already have it installed then don't worry about it.

Can you be more specific about "It is a lil different than the others"?

Don't enable the joystick controls in HyperHQ.

One was by gutch, the other by Austin and some other pages tutorial.

Basically the layout is different but their is an option added that allows you to clean up your games list with out extra downloading or configuring. And a couple other features from what I can tell but can't seem to find the daemon tools like I said.

So if I have to disable the joysticks in HQ does that mean I have to use my keyboard to use hyperspin or am I missing something?

I know, crazy right? LOL Couldn't tell you why. Seriously though it's been like that a long time. And this is where people split up and use whatever suits their needs.

You can try ghutch's start up script first (may come in handy for other things too). It's free and is where most people start these days. Read about it HERE. I should note that I don't use it. I think it's most useful feature not the joystick stuff but rather it's ability to load many programs with HS. ATM I have no need/desire to run ledblinky or hypersearch or anything besides my keymapper. I may have to look at this again someday?? I think it may try to do a little too much. Scripts can break as code changes (updates are made) as well. That's ok while ghutch is around to fix them or you're good with scripts, but we all know life happens and many users here will simply drop off for months at a time.

IMO, the better option would be a keymapper (xpadder or joytokey). They are both the same thing but differ in configuring/integrating into RL so just choose the 1 you think you'll have a easier time configuring. Integration into RL is key here! It will just switch profiles for you. No script running. Nothing trying to keep track of window states or anything else. Just switch the profile.

Not trying to dog gutch here! Many users use this and many more "have" to use it to be able to use LEDBlinky, EDS, HyperMarquee... etc. to make their cabs look nice. So it's probably fine but I currently don't have any "hey my emulator is loading behind HS" stuff happening and I would rather not introduce any more layers of crap into the equation than I have to. I have a simple setup with my TV and xbox360 ps3 controllers. I am a happy guy!

I downloaded the latest full install version from the download page. I guess I can try it. So your saying with 1.4 I can use the joysticks with out having to DL another program?

If not I think I'll try joytokey. I found a tutorial showing how to use it.

Lol if I didn't like a challenge I wouldn't have started this to begin with. MALA works fine but I was told I had to try hyperspin. I like it so far as a front end but I need to figure out how to add some kinda MP3 jukebox.

Ill try 1.4 tomorrow I just had to rest my laptop to factory and it's way past my BT.

Cool beans!!!!! Shouldnt be to hard to set up now agter three days sudying those programs. Do you have link for the 1.4 tutorial?

No tutorial required you just overwrite the existing HyperSpin.exe with the one from the download. Back up the original exe (name it HyperSpin-old.exe or somethinhg) first of course.

I followed "a" idk which. I got JTK working i can now leave and enter the emu wheel and its games wheel choose games and so on. Its kinda weird though so far i have to open RLUI then click on a profile before it starts working.

Yea it is missing a few .ahk files like nulldc.ahk. I can reopen the RL install and physically replace what i dont have, if they are there.
