Mame 2003

Have you tried (cores/mame2003_libretro_android.so)

yes that's what I put. I copied over mame 4 droid from my MAME ini but that didn't work either which is weird. When I click on AAE wheel it just kicks me right back out doesn't show games.

One idea is that perhaps the rom names for AAE PC emulator are different from MAME.  I don't think this is true.

I THINK they match.

So my other suggestion is to confirm if your AAE wheel has a basic default theme.  If, so you'd want to disable your filter:

themes_only = true to false

I have AAE in there own roms. Games/AAE/roms in pc game, database ect. I tried retroarch to mame2003 and it didn't work so I changed it back to mame4droid. I tried filter and no go. I'm confused as why this won't work.

So can you clarify what isn't working? Are games running in retroarch and mame4droid outside of RA? Are games not showing up in wheel?

Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk

yes they play outside. When I open hyperspin and go to AAE wheel and click it it just kicks back out doesn't show games

If you can setup ADB to capture a log, that might help your debug effort.

But I'd just triple check the filenames, folders all match in /databases, /settings, and /media.

If all of the filters are off, the emulator and rom settings don't matter YET.

I'm a rookie at all this. Not familiar with what your saying.

No problem. Google 'Android adb logcat' for more info if you are up to it. Must enable developer mode too (tap settings->about->build 7 times). Enable adb debugging. On Shield ATV, you can connect WiFi after confirming security check over USB.

Otherwise, just ensure all names of files and folders match.

Thanks I appreciate all your help. Anyone get turbographics 's to work on Android.? I got it to open games then load on hyperspin thru retroarch but screen is black

Cd works too but likely has bios dependency. Need those files in retroarch 'system' folder.

which emulator you using? Also where can I find reicadt nightly build to fix my game launch so it loads in hyperspin instead of going to reicast

There is a sticky post in the emulators forum with links to nightly builds of important emulators.

Regarding PC Engine, sounds like you got lucky and the .ini file does exist.  Perhaps you copied from somewhere else and it had the proper parameters.

fixed the AAE on pc. Found no data base in ini. Lucky there was a back up copy. Now hopefully I can get it running in android

probably a rom version mismatch.. try each of the mame emulator versions and if that doesn't work, you'll need to copy working mame romset manually.

If you go through this pain, please post the fixes for me!

ok right now it's on mame4droid. I'll try mame 2003.
