edm1820 Posted February 28, 2016 Posted February 28, 2016 Hey all, first off, I am new here so hello to everyone. I've been fiddling with Mame on and off over the last ten years or so and I've finally decided to setup a good dedicated Hyperspin (cross platorm) machine for my living room, With the help of the Simply Austins videos over at `youtube, things are coming along. Anyway, I've been messing with intellivision using MAME. I can get the game to load using the intv bios, but I am having a lot of issues with the controls. For example, when playing baseball I can not get the fielder to throw the ball, (not even with the keyboards numpad). I was just wondering if anyone else has intellivision setup and could recommend a decent emu to use.
SIMPLYAUSTIN Posted February 28, 2016 Posted February 28, 2016 Howdy mate Easy setup would be the MESS install guide mate. It's pre setup for those type of systems. Or you could get the MAME bios files for your version and set it up manually that way. Simply Austin's YouTube
edm1820 Posted February 29, 2016 Author Posted February 29, 2016 Thanks for the suggestions. And thanks again for the videos Austin. they've been very helpful. For now I've figured out the control layout and seem to have intellvision working with the latest version of Mame using the intv & intvsrs bios. (I assume this is basically using MESS, but I still dont fully understand how the MESS/MAME thing works since they've merged)... All I know is it seems to be working ok for now the only weird thing is, I had to use MameUI64 for intellivision and Colecvision as I couldn't get them to work with MAMEUIFX, whcih is what I am using for Mame games.

MAMEUIFX is MAME only. It doesn't have MESS built into it.
