Retroarch 1.3.2 problems mess/mame core banging my head

Ever since the merge i had problems getting simple as Atari 5200 to run knowng the folder structure and placement might be my problem but i think it goes deeper than that notice enbled cli still on mame2014 my problem is getting it to boot i have mame setup and pointing retroarch to it dont seem to work anymore any suggestions?

I had this setup at one point but I don't think there is away to set it up with the current build of retroarch. Not sure Maybe someone will chime in and help you out.

not just shaders its my main emulator for most systems but it be nice to know how to do the folder structure is slighty different no longer uses mam

 

Better than hlsl/glsl/bgfx?

not just shaders its my main emulator for most systems but it be nice to know how to do the folder structure is slighty different no longer uses messcore i dont think and last time had to change stuff in core options.cfg to get it to work like enabling cli and disable softlist and so on i dont see option for softlist or changing media type

I wouldn't say better but you have lots of other shader option too.

Cool. I haven't been able to get any Mess games to work with the more recent versions of Retroarch.

 

Does ver 1.3.2 add anything different? I know it has 4x upscaling for the PSX but's it's still using software rendering. Will wait for OpenGL rendering.

 

I'm still on an older version. 1.3.0 had some shader and core issues so I never upgraded.

something definitely wrong with mamecore it boots up red for split second in mame2010 core but still testing trying get it work outside of rlauncher first

 good news those who follow this thread so from my further tests i got defender to work but it has to be name mame convention way in hash folder but going see if i can figure something around this i don't wanna rename all my roms to match up to hash folder lol making progress this is using mame core latest one keep you all posted
