tonycrew Posted April 30, 2009 Posted April 30, 2009 Believe the Hype in this Program Update 21st May 2009 New Version Just Released.... Ok we have added 2 NEW OPTIONS to the Video Converter, MenCoder LQ & MenCoder HQ, This was because of FFmpeg couldn't encode some Xvid/DivX files We tested on the EmuMoview Sega Genesis set and all seemed fine. MenCoder LQ:- Video Size 320x240 - Video Bitrate 400k - Audio 56k - Audio Sample Rate 22050 MenCoder HQ:- Video Size 640x480 - Video Bitrate 900k - Audio 128k - Audio Sample Rate 44100 Now FFmpeg you can choose your own options. If FFmpeg will convert your AVI's as it does some of them then you will perhaps get a better quality. Also use FFmpeg for WMV files. File Name Comparer/Renamer We have worked long and hard on this, it has took along time to get to this stage, Although it may not be perfect, it does work... But please remeber this is a work in progress for us as we try to improve the algorithm... We will not be resposible for any loss of files, although the program does create a Reverse Rename Batch File so you can rename your files back to their original names. We have the program Automaticaly Remove Duplicates from the list... We also added some nice little options for you to help filter out problem characters within some filenames. Anyway please report any bugs back to us... Download Below Available on the Hyperspin FTP or http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?hjljgkmmmz4 Currently Working On:- Continuing work on our internal database. Also FLV Merger and Screen Recoreder. Raw Editor Here you can load your XML file and it will display it for you, then you can use the Find and Replace option to correct the & bugs that are in some XML game lists you need to put & in find and & in the replace. Merge XML This allows you to merge 2 XML lists together, this has been added because as far as our testing has gone our Dir To XML has about a 1000 file limit for some reason. Dir To XML Here you can create a XML Game list by browsing to your Rom, Png etc folder and selecting all or some... ? of your files that you want to create a list from. It supports ALL FILES There There can be problems with file name that have & in their name, if the name is sonic & knuckles thats fine our program will correct this for you but if its Sonic&Knuckles where there is no space then you will need to use the Raw Edit option afterwards. Also there seems to be around a 1000 file limit, we don't know why this is...? But you can create more than 1 XML and Merge Them with our Merge XML util. Avi To FLV Converter New to convert AVI's to FLV with options. System Editor With this you can add your new system theme to your main menu XML list, just load the Main Menu.XML and you can add any new main system themes you have installed. e.g Vic 20, Gameboy etc. XML Editor This now displays your Game/Rom count in your Game XML list. Image Converter Used to convert your images to PNG format this will run single or Batch which is great if you have 1000 box art images. Internal Database Config For Previewing Our Built-In System XML's, In Later Versions.. It will be used for importing data into your XML's. (This is in testing now and is almost complete). File Renamer Is now working, 95% Done on this, but can be used, It works fine and effectivly!. System Theme Uninstaller As requsted this will uninstall your MainSystem Themes. Such as Nintendo, Mame etc. Please be carefull and report any bugs. Bug Fixes Fixed some bugs and improved Fix Xml and Format XML. What We Are Working On Pictures: Designed by: Tonycrew Coded by: Dean Reynolds (My 12 Yr-Old Son) Fixes by: Dean Reynolds Can i just say my son has worked really hard on this to sort all the errors out, he has put alot of hours into this, and really in the space of more than a week has got alot done on this, especially for a 12 year old who has taught himself.
SophT Posted April 30, 2009 Posted April 30, 2009 that looks cool. you should try and hit up billpa for some official graphics. Things I Break ----- System Requirements? How do I remove rom warnings? How do I shut-down my computer? How do I shell HyperSpin?
BadBoyBill Posted April 30, 2009 Posted April 30, 2009 Man I cant believe a person only 12 years old made that, he must be very smart. I see a theme generator there, nice. If you need to know any of the parameters let me know.
MildAnti Posted April 30, 2009 Posted April 30, 2009 Thats crazy, sweet job http://www.hyperspin-fe.com/topic/2084-digital-dreams-carbon-fibre-covered

microjackson Posted April 30, 2009 Posted April 30, 2009 Very cool. This almost makes me want to create my own kid. I'm sure my parenting skills would be subpar and would never be able to raise such a promising fellow. Thanks very much!
BadBoyBill Posted May 1, 2009 Posted May 1, 2009 Will this be able to rename artwork if needed based on crc?
tonycrew Posted May 1, 2009 Author Posted May 1, 2009 Sorry i don't understand..? it wont rename anything..?
BadBoyBill Posted May 1, 2009 Posted May 1, 2009 I know it wont, I was just asking if it ever will, some people like to use good named roms and would rather rename the artwork rather than rename the roms. It was a feature I considered adding to HQ.
tonycrew Posted May 1, 2009 Author Posted May 1, 2009 Right i see what you mean... i dunno really it depends on which way it would work... theres the fatbatch way or using actual Dats...
dpar Posted May 1, 2009 Posted May 1, 2009 Extensions that should be added would be lnx, fpt, int, ngc, nes, 32x, cdi, sms, lst, mdf, img, nrg. Those are most of the ones I can think of right now, there are probably others, but that is most of the ones you are missing.

No problem they will be in the next update...
tonycrew Posted May 2, 2009 Author Posted May 2, 2009 Ok added support for lnx, fpt, int, ngc, nes, 32x, cdi, sms, lst, mdf, img, nrg as well as ALL FILES please read 1st post for important info on this. BadBoyBill I know it wont, I was just asking if it ever will, some people like to use good named roms and would rather rename the artwork rather than rename the roms. It was a feature I considered adding to HQ. I spoke to my son about this and we think it might be just a little to much for him to impliment at this time but we think that he maybe able to add something like Fatbatch to our editor, he is looking into this.
dcrew Posted May 4, 2009 Posted May 4, 2009 Hello, I am getting upto towards the Artwork/File/ROM Renamer, Infact im working on this project almost all day, this one is a tough one but i think i can do it. Thanks!
SophT Posted May 4, 2009 Posted May 4, 2009 way to go dcrew you're doing some great work. I think what BBB was suggesting is using the goodset dats instead of no-intro dats. All you would have to do is write a different parser. That seems easier than coding a relational, recursive renamer. Things I Break ----- System Requirements? How do I remove rom warnings? How do I shut-down my computer? How do I shell HyperSpin?
tonycrew Posted May 10, 2009 Author Posted May 10, 2009 Thanks... We had a disaster and lost all the source code... don't ask.... Anyways we have re done it again... Slightly different and with all our last experience on creating this we found it easier and had less bug solving to do. A new release will be up soon...
BadBoyBill Posted May 10, 2009 Posted May 10, 2009 woah that sucks for that to happen, I'd be pretty butthurt
tonycrew Posted May 12, 2009 Author Posted May 12, 2009 We have now released our new version.. See first post for more info/details. It is now a full installer.
