da_bever Posted November 19, 2013 Posted November 19, 2013 The newer GTX cards (6 & 7 series) can run 3 screens (2 in XP and 3 or 4 in Windows 7 and greater) I'm just wondering if anyone has run 3 screens off of 1 video card (no I'm not going DMD...already have everything built) was the performance ok under Windows 7?
shakenbake Posted November 19, 2013 Posted November 19, 2013 It's OK but better if you just use a $40 GT610 for the backglass and DMD. Let the 660 run just the playfield.
punter1 Posted November 21, 2013 Posted November 21, 2013 I am running 3 monitors off gtx660 with win7 x64. I have no complaints. I may encounter some minor stutter here and there but I don't know if I can blame it solely on video card. Using an Athlon x4 3 ghz CPU.
xagesz Posted November 21, 2013 Posted November 21, 2013 I got lucky. My motherboard has onboard video so I ran dmd and backglass of of it for awhile. I didn't realize it till late. But 2 cards is ALWAYS better than a single. "Pinball Unknown" - 46/30/DMD - A work in Progress Kick it Harder
SEALen Posted November 29, 2013 Posted November 29, 2013 I've only tried a few tables but I had no trouble at all running three screens of the GTX660. Using a i5 CPU. Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk 4
