The HyperSpin 2 beta is here!

We’re starting the first public testing phase with Platinum Members to keep the scope manageable while we test the current feature set and begin to add more. In the future, we’ll provide a version for basic members as well.  On behalf of the entire HyperSpin team, we look forward to another exciting adventure with our community.

i did as you suggested and down loaded that open hardware app but after i did and ran it i got a error pic below.  I went onlone and goggled dimension 9200 and from what i read isnt whats in the pc its suppose to have 4gb of ram 2.6 ghz intel core 2 duo processor serial ata the only thing the pc have is the serial ata...lol.  and the pc is suppose to be a vista not a xp.  i was able to get into the bios took pics below.  i saw and took pics of the start up screen and saw the numbers dxp061 series which dont jive with the image of the bios image for that # it suppose to be a pentuim d 2.80 ghz duel 64 bits.  the processsor image just like what i got in the guts of this pc.  i was wondering if someone sold the old lady a dumbdowned pc on purpose by just switching out the gpu?  can that happen?  thanks a bunch.  one last thing that pc is suppuse to be duel but i cant tell if it is or not like my emachine i can tell cause in computer it has 2 program files one named x86.

alright.

wel I'm sure you gathered from the pictures that this computer does not have a 2.6 ghz and it does not have 4GB of ram.... it's has 1GB of Ram and a core 2, 1.6 Ghz processor.. it IS a 64bit though. if the old lay was swindled then that is sad.. and who ever did that should be ashamed.

yes you can dumb down computers.. you can simply swap out components as long as the motherboard can use them but even that can be swapped out.. so yea..

short explanation about the two Program files  folders

the "program files"folder is where windows installs 64 bit software by default

the "program files x86"is for 32bit software

What i can tell from the screenshot is that Open hardware monitor crashed because of a .net issue.

last remark regarding windows vista. around 2006 2007 Microsoft got alot negative feedback about Winows Vista... so alot of retailers gave the option to downgrade vista machines to XP ..so that part isn't THAT surprising.

I hope this helps?

ow.. my final advice.. don't do any banking or otherwise fincanial transactions on that machine.. it might not be safe.

thanks sir...i dont do no none of that stuff anyway my pc or not just a habit ive always been careful about what websites i visit as a rule anyway,  yeah when i ran my mcafee on it virus and mal byte app you wouldnt be surprised.  anybody sit down at a used pc and start using it connected is stupid and deserve what happens to them.  can the .net issue be fixed?  maybe is should just redown them.  from what i read about the 9200 was a kick butt machine out the box to bad somebody had to mess with it.  so the dxp061 is the prosessor and the gpu is a regular intel duo?  you have been awesome help thanks a bunch  and oh yeah that machine wont down load google im sad i love google now!  thanks to you gentlemen.
