Rent_Demon Posted May 6, 2016 Posted May 6, 2016 Hi, does anybody have an xpadder profile for AAE using xbox controller? This emulator doesn't support other controllers than keyboard, so maybe someonehere have done it that way? Cheers!

I'm not sure about the earlier versions of AAE, but the latest version (AAE update 2), won't work with joysticks at all. Just having a joystick driver on (even with no joystick plugged in) can make the emulator crash at startup. I've never found a workaround

My wireless transceiver is always plugged, and even with my controller (x360) activated, my AAE (update 2 for sure) is working good (with keyboard of course). So i guess i'm the lucky one... . Thanks anyway, i just can't figure out how xpadder profiles are working.

Maybe because the Xbox controllers use xinput instead of dinput like everything else (I think I have that right). maybe it's only dinput drivers that kill it...
Rent_Demon Posted May 6, 2016 Author Posted May 6, 2016 My x360 is used only with xinput you're right. And i got no additional driver than the integrated windows (8.1) one. So yes maybe that's the reason.
Yardley Posted May 6, 2016 Posted May 6, 2016 Are you not using Xpadder? BTW it will crash only if 2 controllers are plugged in.
