JDJD567 Posted May 10, 2016 Posted May 10, 2016 I am fairly new to Hyperspin, i have got a few systems up and running without any issue such as Mame, Genesis, Nintendo, Super Nintendo, but for some reason i can't get the playstation roms to load at all. I keep getting an error message. I think it might have to do with how i have the roms or the format the roms are in, but not to sure. Below is the error message i am getting. Could not find "Atari Anniversary Edition Redux (USA)" Inside the archive with any defined Rom Extensions. Check if you are missing the correct Rom Extension for this rom for RetroArch's Extensions, enable Rom_Match_Extension, or correct the file name inside the archive, The roms i downloaded come in . rar format for example Atari Anniversary Edition Redux (USA).rar if i was to extract the .rar file then i get the following folder of files Atari Anniversary Edition Redux (USA).bin Atari Anniversary Edition Redux (USA).cue if i try to run with the .bin or .cue file in the rom folder i get the same error message as above. Any help would be amazing as i have spent over 10 hours trying to figure this out. Thanks Jonathan
gigapig Posted May 10, 2016 Posted May 10, 2016 I have the same Rom so I know it's not the naming. You may having missing extensions from the list (see pic.) Add cue nearer the front of the list as RocketLauncher reads them in order.
kylecp1979 Posted May 10, 2016 Posted May 10, 2016 Make sure you have 7z turned on to true. Make sure you have rar extension in your group of extension to the emulator your using. and make sure inside your cue file it has the exact name of the bin file.
JDJD567 Posted May 10, 2016 Author Posted May 10, 2016 Thanks for the responses, much appreciated. Moving cue closer to the front got it to load a playstation screen with the name of the game and then after a few seconds i got another error. This one says There was an error waiting for the window "Retroarch ahk_class RetroArch" Please check you have the correct version emulator installed for this module, followed any notes in the module, and have this emulator working outside your frontend first. Also turn off Fade to see if you are hiding your problem. I followed the step by step instructions on the setup of the emulator using RetroArch (Global) as the emulator. Not sure why i am getting this error, but appreciate any of your assistance if you know how to make it go away. Thanks Jonathan
PeeWii Posted August 25, 2016 Posted August 25, 2016 Can't say much with the amount of info we have but be sure to turn fade in off and retry .. It won't work, but you will be able to see what is going on (retroArch wii probably show an error message "the true error message" or outright crash and leave a log ...)
damageinc86 Posted August 25, 2016 Posted August 25, 2016 Have you tried mednafen? working great for me.
