Hello Skandal and welcome!

You did correctly. It shows as your profile picture. Did you mean for it to show in your posts, above your name? If that's the case, set it as your Avatar.

I feel really stupid, but I cannot find anywhere to upload a profile picture. I can change my avatar, but I have searched everywhere & cannot find where I upload a profile one.

It would be great if somebody could explain how I do this please....when you have finished laughing at me, for being this stupid.

Welcome to the Forum!

On the top right of the page, click on Profile. On the left side of the page, right above Edit Avatar is the Edit Profile Picture link. It's the second link down in the My Settings box below My Profile.

Ah well, I am relieved that I am not stupid then, that option does not appear for me. It has "edit profile" which only lets me edit the text & then "edit avatar" which is just the avatar picture. There is no option, for whatever reason, on my page for that. I have tried from 2 computers, a tablet & my phone, but it is all the same, without that option.

Hmmmm... That is interesting. Maybe because you have basic member status? How about John V? Does he have only the same options?

Options are in settings, rather than the profile page, I should have known
