It wants to eat your soul. Delete it all now.

OK. What update pack are you talking about? The current update pack is

HyperSpin Update Pack v1.3.2.0

And the current HyperLaunch update is

HyperLaunch v3.0.1.1 Update

and you haven't said what file was classified as malicious or even where you got it from?

And you said it is Malicious? What said it was Malicious? And why?

If you downloaded your files direct from the Download section here or the HyperLaunch GIT the answer is simple - it is not malicious.

I will explain simply. The file that is most likely causing it is one of the files that modifies other files. This is common for the EXE created within HyperLaunch as they are AHK scripts that are compiled.

If you did not get the files from the official sources then yeah maybe don't trust them. But lets be honest. How many people are using these files? Hmmmm... Here is your answer: HyperSpin Update Pack v1.3.2.0 since the date 06-25-2013 has been downloaded 13,911 ... Got a funny feeling the files in that pack are pretty safe or thousands of people would be very pissed off. :D

Unfortunately you are not the first person to ask this question. You definitely won't be the last.

BTW if you use the word Norton in your reply my answer will be :reddy::reddy::reddy:

I had the same problem. My company runs Panda Antivirus, which I run on my home computers. It also flagged some of the newer HyperSpin executables as infected. Many antivirus programs are doing the same thing. Use the following website if you really want to verify: https://www.virustotal.com/

You'll most likely have to configure your antivirus to exclude those specific executables from scanning.

I'm looking at this thread because this just happened to me too.

For me it was just Chrome that blocked it, which is strange because I've downloaded the v1.3.2.0 Update pack before without problem.

I'm using AVG Free for anti-virus, but it looks like it's just Chrome itself that's blocking it. Downloading just fine with Firefox.

Simple answer.

Antivirus packages see the applications in this package as compiled AHK script that is made to open other executables. Basically Hyperspin opens Hyperlaunch then opens the emulator. This gets flagged as a false positive. It can even be flagged by Chrome. This is definitely a false positive. All antivirus programs are being locked down that little bit more to stop people using Keygens and Patches to use illegal copies of software. You can choose to heed the false positive and never download Hyperspin or you can trust the thousands of people who have downloaded this and just use it.

Enjoy.
