Fade in RL works great, HyperSpin Fail

My first post hopefully I won't get flamed. I follow SimplyAustin Guide to the letter for setting up HyperSpin 1.4 and RocketLauncher. I also followed his video for setting up MAME. I have HyperSpin 1.4 and Rocket Launcher 1.0.1.4.

 

When I launch a game and test the fade screen in RocketLauncher everything works the Fade, loading sounds, Descriptions, the fade out everything works. When I launch HyperSpin, the Fade Screen comes up, there is no loading, no sound, and no description. The game and the fade out works. What am I doing wrong? Something tells me this is a simple fix that one thing isn't checked somewhere.

 

Lastly, thank you SimplyAustin for putting these videos together. They really helped.

I apologize I am a little confused. Let walk through this one piece at a time. I was a Marine so you have to break it down barney style LOL.

 

Under RocketUI tab Hyperspin has two check marks under def and active.

 

Under General tab, HyperSpin.exe is the Default Frontend Path.

 

Both of those setting are correct and it still not loading playing the load sound or have any game info in the description.

Ok so here we go we have progress! I can see the letters in the load up, but they are huge and unreadable. Still no sound of loading or loading complete. We are getting there.

YEESS!!! More Progress! Now the loading sounds are playing however the letters for the game in the info bar are still huge and unreadable. How do i fix the size of the font?

 

Also in the Fade>Mame> _Default folder is it supposed to be "Extra" in the front of Layers to change the pictures?

There are loading sounds for zipped files? I've never heard them, I don't use any 7z files.

What does it sound like?

It's a woman's voice saying "Loading game" and "Loading complete", but you can replace them I believe (I've never tried).

You can use any sound effect you want as long as the file is named correct, I switched mine "loading" sound file to the turrets from the portal games saying "activating"

Nice! I'm not trying to be anymore fancier with this than I already am. I think I will be content with what I have. I was a reall challenege setting it up to this point however its been worth it. Now what I am tryingto to do is figure out how I can use .avi videos or will I have to convert all of them to .mp4.
