MazeNblue Posted June 5, 2016 Posted June 5, 2016 Hi everyone, Can someone help me figure out why my mame snap videos work fine when displayed on the mame wheel but when i go to other weels, like my atari classics wheel, they don't disply. I have linked the atari classics wheel .flv path to point to my mame video directory in HyperHQ but i can not get them to display. I am running HS 1.4. Thanks eveyone!
Metalzoic Posted June 5, 2016 Posted June 5, 2016 RocketLauncher settings don't control HyperSpin. Do you have your video path set correctly in HyperHQ?
MazeNblue Posted June 5, 2016 Author Posted June 5, 2016 I apologize. I meant to say HyperHQ and not RL. HyperHQ under wheel tab and then video, the path is set correctly to where my mame video directory where everything is. I can't figure out why it doesn't find them in, let's say, Midway Classics wheel and does find them and play them in the MAME wheel.
MazeNblue Posted June 7, 2016 Author Posted June 7, 2016 So it looks like Hyperspin only looks at video snaps that are placed in the videos folder of each emulator by default regardless of where you tell hs where the path is....does anyone know the right script to edit to override this? It would save me a lot of time from manually placing the snaps in each emulator directory. Thanks everyone!
knewlife Posted June 7, 2016 Posted June 7, 2016 Try to use symbolic links... Search in google... Basically it creates a link to a folder that make all programs think is an actual folder... So you can have just one folder and various links and hyperspin will think you have various folders with the same content Sent from my Nokia Lumia 520 using Tapatalk EmuLink (Canal de Youtube) | Main Menu Changer | HyperArchiver Version 0.0.0.17 | HSBezel
Metalzoic Posted June 7, 2016 Posted June 7, 2016 Yep. Like agent said you can keep all of your videos in one folder. For example all of my MP4s are in hyperspin>media>mame>video and I just have my 10+ manufacturer wheels pointed to that folder in HyperHQ. Are you 100% positive you don't have the path to your videos misspelled or miss capitalized at all in HyperHQ? Sent from my SM-G935V

I used the junction fucntion of symbolic links and it worked like a charm. You have save me hours of tedious work of moving the files manually, but now i have the conjunction junction theme stuck in my head lol....Thanks again buddy!

Great I do this for all arcade systems for wheels themes and videos... So even if hyperhq paths work it can be a good trick to use EmuLink (Canal de Youtube) | Main Menu Changer | HyperArchiver Version 0.0.0.17 | HSBezel

Metalzoic Posted June 9, 2016 Posted June 9, 2016 It is such a great idea to use it, it saves on so much storage space! Thanks again Yeah I use symbolic links for Themes, Wheels, bezels etc... But it isn't needed for videos because they can share from a pool by default. Not sure why you weren't getting it to work.
MazeNblue Posted June 9, 2016 Author Posted June 9, 2016 I couldn't figure it out either....it seemed like hs was only looking for snaps within the video directory of the media\emulator regardless of what I set the path to in gui
