thomas3120 Posted June 25, 2016 Posted June 25, 2016 Hello, Was wondering what a good free program to use to record in game footage of gameplay on emulators and also pc games (from pclauncher) ? A looong time ago I remember using all seeing eye. Anything out there that does a good job recording footage? Thanks, thomas
Metalzoic Posted June 25, 2016 Posted June 25, 2016 If you are using Windows 10 (or 8 I think) just use the Xbox Game DVR that comes built into windows. It's better than most of the others I've ever tried and a lot of people will already have it without realizing it. It also doesn't leave a shi**y looking overlay in the video.
bdove67 Posted June 26, 2016 Posted June 26, 2016 I use Windows 10 Xbox Game DVR. Most the time it works very good and the video looks nice..
Warfare Posted June 26, 2016 Posted June 26, 2016 I recommend using OBS or Open Broadcasting Software for recording screen or Gameplay, i have not tested it with Hyperspin but i have used it to record other games on Windows, there is a setting to record whole screen or just a window, plus its free.
Warfare Posted June 26, 2016 Posted June 26, 2016 I Would Use OBS over Fraps but i have looked at both and came up with a list of pros and cons( remember this is up to you and which you like best): OBS Pros: Has More Setting, Unlimited Rec. limit, Nice Quality( Depends how you set up), No Watermark, Lots of support on the forums, Lets you preview video, Crop video, Insert images or words, lets you live stream( not really what you want it for but just giving the facts), lets you record more then just games, lets you record screen, window, game, webcam. Cons: Hard to get setting for (took me 35 min. just to set it up) Heres a link to there website (make sure you choose classic, has the most settings although studio has much nicer user interface): https://obsproject.com/ I recommend this over Fraps. Fraps(trial version) Pros: Very User Friendly, Easy to just install and record Cons: Has a watermark, only lets you record games, Has only website support( no user/forum support), Not Much Settings, 30 sec. record limit. Link to fraps website: http://www.fraps.com/ As for editing there are not much options so the best i could recommend is blender though takes time to learn how to use, just watch some youtube videos.
