nutter1980 Posted July 19, 2016 Posted July 19, 2016 Hi all, So I can get TTX to work with hyperspin no problem. The issue I have is I do not seem to get the games to run in a good resolution. Eg- Samurai showdown runs in 800x600 as does Street Fighter Arcade edition. I am running on a Samsung TV 1920x1080 and would ideally like to run at the best I can. Can anyone else share there experience with this ? Thanks !
Metalzoic Posted July 19, 2016 Posted July 19, 2016 You can play with the different resolutions of each game to find what works best, while some games require a certain resolution to even work. For example there is only one resolution you can set Samurai Shodown at where it will play widescreen, but not be stretched. Chaos Breaker has a specific rez it looks best at (640x480? can't remember) That Steampunk fighting game only has a single resolution it even display properly in. You just have to test each one to find what makes it tick. These games aren't designed for 1080 so trying to run them at rez's better than 800x600 can often make them look worse (obviously).
rastan Posted July 19, 2016 Posted July 19, 2016 somebody was using a bezel or something to make one of the games (possibly chaos breaker) look better.
Metalzoic Posted July 19, 2016 Posted July 19, 2016 That was me. Made a bezel for Chaos Breaker using Sub Zeros fake shader.png like Alex used in his Atomiswave bezels. Sent from my SM-G935V
gigapig Posted July 19, 2016 Posted July 19, 2016 Some you can change the resolution in the file"gameres.dat" or "settings.arc", others require different hacked exe's. And yes bezels help a lot, AlexDC22 made some, you should be able to find the ones we worked on some years ago in his signature with his other work.
