New to Hyperspin, Need help setting up Dice so all the games show up, not just the roms

Could someone please either direct me to a link, or explain to me how to setup Dice so that all of the games show, not just the Rom driven games? Any help would be appreciated!

Not too sure what you mean but you set them up the same way you would PC games.

I think he's talking about the txt/shortcut trick to make the system roms pass a RL audit.

 

Module notes:

; Create 4 txt files in the emu dir, one each for Gotcha, Pong, Rebound and SpaceRace.
; romExtension should be txt
; Point both emu and rom dirs to the dir that contains Dice.exe
; Dice stores its config in your user dir: C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\dice

 

With the text file trick, you can also create a text file named exactly the same as each of the other games listed in the DICE xml. Hopefully, you have all of these games because using this "trick" will show games passing an audit that you do not have. In the case of DICE, last I checked all the games on the current xml for DICE 0.9 were included in the program's source code, even though some of the roms are also available externally.

 

FYI, some consider using this trick as stupid, possibly even dishonest. It may hurt your street cred and make people yell at you, so use it sparingly.

I do not know how to do this as of yet.

 

 

I'm sorry for not being as clear as I should have been, The Emulator, Dice, runs 21 games, 11 of which have a downloadable rom file, the other 10 are integrated with the emulator itself. What I am wanting to do is have all 21 games on my DICE wheel, but I cant figure out how to accomplish this. All I have are the 11 in the Rom folder. RocketLauncher Made the XML database from the rom file. I could not find one out there to download. Am I making any sense here?

Use the full database for this system, DICE.xml from HyperList.

 

It has been down for several days, but was just up and downloaded the DICE.xml with 21 games listed in the database. You can navigate to HyperList by clicking the "Databases" button at the top of your browser when you are signed into HyperSpin. As I said they have been down for several days for updating but it was just working.............blah, blah, blah my post cause Agent47 just answered your question while I was typing. So do what Agent47 said.

 

Other than that, follow the module notes from above and also in your RocketLauncher/Modules/DICE/DICE.ahk file.

I get the error:

 

ROM File roms/ (gamename) .zip not found.

Game will not function correctly!

 

Then it crashes?
