top1percent
Hi, Apparently I'm inept and these forums because I couldn't find a search function anywhere. So, reluctantly I'm posting about something that's probably already been hashed out, but I can't find it. So, I have the entire MAME video set from emumovies, but they are all in mp4 format and won't play in Hyperspin. All I can hear is the sound. It seems like I read somewhere that Hyperspin now supports mp4 instead of just flv but it needs a specific codec. Can anyone point me in the right direction for adding this specific codec? I really don't want to have to convert all the videos if possible. Thanks for the help and sorry if this has already been discussed at length. Brad preety sure you just need to download this update and paste over top - make sure you download both of these and extract them http://www.hyperspin-fe.com/files/file/5599-hyperspin-133-full-install/ http://www.hyperspin-fe.com/files/file/7500-hyperspin-upgrade/
JoyStickKilla
It's right there in the menu bar towards the top of the page, between donate and databases. You probably have on board intel graphics and need to disable HQ acceleration.
top1percent
Okay, so I updated HS from 1.3.3 to 1.4.15. I also copied all the vids to the c:\Hyperspin\Media\Mame\Videos folder and still no luck. Like previously I could hear the audio, but the video wasn't showing. Also, I'm running an Nvidia card in my system so the onboard intel graphics shouldn't be the issue. I did try and disable HW Acceleration, but it was greyed out in my options. Any other options are appreciated. Also, thanks JoyStickKilla for pointing out the search button!! ;-)
32assassin
MP4 video support was added since 2012-2014ish version 1.3.0 where did you get your movies from? the specific codec is not something you should have installed in your PC, Although you should have a basic codec pack installed in your PC to play video files in your media player. The specific codec is used to encode the videos into MP4 format. if you made the videos or if they came from a source other then Emumovies, then you need to check with them to see if they are HS compatible.
