Set a custom media folder for a system

Hi!

i've finished to download the dull MAME set (CHD included) and now i'm trying to set the various "CLASSIC" system into hyperspin. (i set all this system to point in the the same rom folder)

Started with Konami Classic i realized that there'arent any Themes (or Video) of that system in the "Konami Classic" Folder on the FTP, but the MAME folder it's full of them!

 

it's possible to set a custom media folder for this system? so the theme folder and the video folder will point to a standard MAME folder ...

i've searched for it but with no succes...

 

Any ideas?

PS Sorry for eventually grammatical error

 

EDIT: for Video i found the solution, just edit the .ini file in the setting folder and modify the line 

 

[video defaults]

path=

 

with the selected directory.

but for theme i don't know.

the way this program works is that it will scan a folder and compare it to an XML, if the item in the folder is not found in the XML,  it will be moved to a sub folder named _Unknown.

 

1.  Sync (updated) the MAME media,  Videos,Themes, wheels ect.

2. open HyeprSPin Asset XML Audit.exe

3. drag and drop the themes, wheels FOLDER into the program

4. click start

6. a window will pop up asking for an XML  --> point it to your  "CLASSIC" XML

7. Any Theme,  wheel  not found in the Classics XML will be moved to a sub folder.

8.  Move all your "Known" themes, wheels to your classics Media folder.

9.  Once you moved your Classics media to its correct folder,  Move the media from the "unknown" sub folder back to the main folder. 

10. repeat the process for your other Classic systems.

Great solution! i will try all of this. 

Meantime i need to prepare the full Video and Theme MAME set

WONDERFUL!

I Used the mklink command for the video folder and the Hyperspin Asset Software for the Themes folder (Because of the Default theme file who need to be different for each system)
