The only thing I can imagine causing that issue is the game pad controller or some other device that has recently been changed or even a Bluetooth device connected recently. I'd try disabling Bluetooth just as a thought. Then I'd look at what has changed recently.

It is not an uncommon error unfortunately and many posts keep point people back to a DirectX issue when it fact I'd put it down to a device conflict issue.
