Daemon Tools/Rocket Launcher issues

So I am trying to get SSF set up to play some Sega Saturn games (seeing as how Radiant Silvergun decides to freeze on MAME about somewhere on level 2 after a mini boss) and I have ran into a ton of problems, all of which I have been able to trouble shoot and fix up until now. I keep getting a syntax error when trying to load or close a rom through rocket launcher. Now from trying to trouble shoot the problem on my own so far I can give this information.

1. The roms are named correctly. I had to fix this and make sure it was the right files it was reading after a million error messages from rocket launcher (and kudos to them because there error messages really help you directly tell what the issue is and how to fix it)

2. I do have DT set to the right path. Because I have Windows 10, I have to use V10.4 (or is the version I am using because earlier version seem not to work in compatibility mode), it has to be DTAgent. I can mount the images of the games if I am trying to mount them on DT its self. It shows it mounted when I go to do so on the iSCI drive, so it seems to work.

3. I know I have the iSCI drive location right in RocketLauncher and have also tried changing the CD drive number from 0-2 with no change there.

I am still kind of newb to the idea of looking at logs (or even knowing how to go about getting these logs to post) which I would be happy to post if I knew how to acquire them. Any help with this would be much appreciated as I feel like pulling my hair out right now :-D . My only other thought it maybe I have something set up wrong in the emulator its self and the only thing there I can think of would be the drive the emulator is going off of. I only have one that has a bunch of crazy letters and the other two are disc soft drives where I get a SFF?????????? error if they are set to it. The other one says HL-DT-(other mumbo jumbo) so I would assume that would be the right one with the DT standing for Daemon Tools? I will keep searching online for answers and if I get one before someone else has a solution I will post, but so far I am coming up empty handed.

All right I will give that a try. Sorry for not searching in the forums. I googled the heck out of it and nothing came up from googling syntax error with the names of all programs involved including version numbers, to just doing each one on an individual basis. I'll try to stick to searching in the actual forums. Checking out mednafen now. Downloaded it and the application file does nothing when I click on it so far. No error message or anything. Going to start down a new rabbit hole. Thanks guys.

this is because Mednafen does not have a built in GUI.

drag and drop any rom (supported by Mednafen) into the exe and you will see that mednafen will open the game for you.

-You will need the bios

- You will need to configure the josyticks

I suggest you go to Youtube and look at a few tutorials.  Simple Austin has one for the Mednafen (sega saturn) set up.

Ok so I have figured out how it works and followed Austins video on youtube to a T. Here is the issue. It works with Burning Rangers just fine, which is the game he demoed it with.... Unless you rename it so Rocket Launcher can find it, then it wont recognize it. The two most important games I want to emulate on Saturn it doesn't recognize at all which would be Radiant Silvergun & Guardian Heros. I have a US rom for Guardian just the same as I do for Burning, so I know it's not a region/bios issue. I tried renaming and not renaming and still no luck. My guess would be it doesn't support these games, and I know Saturn emulation is not easy. Unfortunately from this test run, this emulator does not seem to be the best fit for me, especially with no support from rocket launcher at the moment and the goal being to get it integrated with hyperspin. Maybe what I need to do is have a work around from Daemon Tools and find another program that works the same?

Good tip. Thank you sir. I will check that out. That would solve a lot. Now I have managed to find the emulator on rocket launcher but I can't seem to set it as the emulator for the saturn. Is it under a different name for the saturn (just want to say I love this forum so much. You guys are awesome at helping! Thank you so much to all of you)

Ok so HyperNewbie you are a genius and your name should be my title. Changing the name in the .cue file to what I wanted to name it fixed the problem but the other way around did not work. Radiant Silvergun works beautifully right now! I am on cloud figgin 9! Now if I can just figure out how to configure Rocket Launcher to recognize Mednafen as a Saturn emulator so it will launch in Rocket Launcher then I will be..... able to get some sleep and quell my OCD mind :-D
