thenoob Posted October 26, 2016 Posted October 26, 2016 Hey guys I think Norton deleted something needed by HS and RL. I go to open RL and the UI won't launch, my PC is telling me it's open, but I cannot access it. Go into hyperspin and launch any system/game I'm met with "cannot find launcher" Any ideas what Norton completely screwed up file wise? I really don't want to start all my systems over on a fresh RL install, I'd cry.
thenoob Posted October 26, 2016 Author Posted October 26, 2016 When I enter task manager, it won't be listed under open "apps" but I can see it under "processes" I can close it and try to reopen it every time I'm met with the same issue, the UI will not load and HS gives me "cannot find launcher", Norton obviously deleted something serious.
Spawk Posted October 26, 2016 Posted October 26, 2016 My advice would be to have a dedicated pc for hyperspin. It should have no reason for AV since it will never download anything! If you absolutely must have AV, then simply temporarily turn off all your AV software. Re-install rocketlauncher (same location/setup should be fine). Then turn back on AV and add exceptions for RL.... And HS??? Not sure. Sent from my B3-A20 using Tapatalk
thenoob Posted October 26, 2016 Author Posted October 26, 2016 Yes I know that In my collection something happened while getting a certain system, had a piggyback and started really messing things up. Norton found it and several other things but the files it removed is obviously hampering it. What I'm thinking is getting a new HS download, dragging my setup over to it, it should overwrite everything and save my current setup, and contain the new files that were deleted? Maybe I'm wrong...but hopeful...
