I'm having issues with video on Capcom Classics, Nintendo Classics, ect.

Hey everyone, I've been trying to set up different wheels for MAME and I've run into an issue. I have all of my MAME videos in the MAME media folder and I have tried to direct the Capcom Classics.ini to the said folder but I isn't working. I've copied the MAME.ini and renamed it to Capcom Classics.ini and the video path looks like:

[video defaults]
path=H:\hyperspin\Media\MAME\Video\

 

Is there anything else I should change in the ini to get this to work?

For Android the video path is not supported.

you will need to copy the videos you need from MAME and place them in the "video" folder for sub classics system

The romsets may differ as well.   If you have separate romsets already, changing the emulator in settings/CapcomClassic.ini  to retroarch's fbalpha2012 core works for me.

Is there a 3rd party app that will copy over video files based on the xml or do I have to copy over the entire folder for each classics system? Because matching and copying over all of the files manually sounds like a nightmare.

I'd check emumovies first.  There may be an existing dbase and list of videos available on their ftp.

For ones that don't have sets you can use Don's Hyperspin tools (renamer) to match them against the xml and then you select copy and choose a empty destination. Double check as Don's renamer is not perfect at fuzzy matching

I might as well get two birds with one stone here, do you guys know what text should be in the parameters in the ini for fbalpha2012? I really appreciate the help.

I've figured it out. Easier than I thought it would be.

What I do is copy all mame media to all the classic wheels then I use fatmatch to clean it all out
