The Retroarch team has been incredibly responsive with Android issues that affect Shield and Hyperspin. Although they need help with some of the more complex issues and have started a Patreon to gain additional interest and support. I donate each month because I really appreciate the amount time and effort that team puts into improving retro gaming. Also, Android is a pita and I feel the need to send them hardware and donations for the sake of bothering with it. :-) The new 1.4 release includes a number of improvements, new cores, and they are very close to enabling Vulkan renderers for both PSX and N64 on Shield (hopefully for 1.5).
