SubZero Posted January 8, 2017 Posted January 8, 2017 MAME Multithreading does it make a difference? it's now set like this on my setup multithreading 0 numprocessors auto bench 0 i always wondered iif it makes a difference and if MAME would take advantage of multicores. can someone chime in on this subject
Trnzaddict Posted January 8, 2017 Posted January 8, 2017 Maybe someone can correct me if I'm wrong but I thought mamedev removed multithreading a while ago due to the bugs and wonky stuff that would happen with games when it was used. Not to mention it made little to no difference. But I do think certain drivers of CPU intensive titles do take advantage of multiple cores in newer builds but not all. I am......Machine
