metroplex2k7 Posted May 28, 2017 Posted May 28, 2017 Was wondering if the original xbox can be emulated (for the wise asses) and run on HyperSpin?
BATTLEDONKEY Posted May 29, 2017 Posted May 29, 2017 As far as I know there are only 2 emulators right now that are starting to show good progress, cxbx reloaded, or xqemo. Both are looking promising, but it will still be awhile before ur running games well enough to want to play them. There are also no ahk scripts to use them in conjunction with rocketlauncher to integrate them seamlessly with hyperspin. Someone here already posted a collection of box art if you do a search for it, if u want to start collecting for when emulation is considered well enough to start playing games at a reasonable frame rate
RLBradders26 Posted May 29, 2017 Posted May 29, 2017 Alot of the original xbox games are were also released on pc so you could setup it using the xbox database but using the pclauncher module.
KlopjerO Posted May 29, 2017 Posted May 29, 2017 <wise_ass>just to clear up any misconception. Hyperspin is not an emulator, it's a front end meaning, it's a specialized menu program that could replace explorer.exe if configured properly. Rocketlauncher is a back-end/launcher for your front end that if configured properly can launch programs. An emulator is a program that uses code to pretend it's not an x86/x64 platform so it can interpret ROM information that could result in running a game that would otherwise not run natively on your computer , and can be launched if your front-/backend is configured to do so. in short, Hyperspin does not emulate anything. </wise_ass> | My themes / downloads | Get the MS-DOS Wheel sound pack | Get your MS-DOS game themes here | Get the MS-DOS wheel set here | My YouTube channel | WarcrafT - Lord of the clans |ZeroJay's Ultimate DooM archive
