MAME for console systems and matching xml naming

I did start to convert some for use with Android but ended up finding a way round the problem of being forced to use software list.

I put a few system up on the emumovies ftp. Matched out to Phulshoffs xmls.

Look for my name on the EM ftp in submissions.

Mame will except "any" name you throw at it so long as its passed to it with the command line.

Most people use rocketlauncher to deal with all that stuff and match the romsets to the xml/media

I use MAME directly with the HyperSpin roms. The command is just slightly different from using software lists:
mame64.exe snes smw
vs
mame64.exe snes -cart "Super Mario World (USA).zip"

Are u saying other romsets will work with mame

Yes "Hyperspin Ready" sets will work with mame.

Example

I have Atari 5200 roms named as per the hyperspin xml names and in .bin format. With the above mentions comman line they launch fine (so long as the actual game is emulated well by mame)

So long as you have any bios files that mame requires
