richie_jones Posted June 21, 2017 Posted June 21, 2017 Guys Just been to the local CNC place for a pattern cut in my perspex, guy tells me i need it in a DXF file.. Can anybody help me out, i`d pay for your time. I have picture of what i want, would probably only be 30 minutes work tops i recon??
Kondorito Posted June 21, 2017 Posted June 21, 2017 Hey richie; I am not too familiar with DXF files, but I would like to give you a hand. Show me the image and I will see what I can do
richie_jones Posted June 21, 2017 Author Posted June 21, 2017 Hi Thanks for the reply What im after is the atari logo like in the image below with the lines as a speaker grill cut into perspex. like the drawn image the speaker measures 4inchx6inch oval. The atari logo minus the atari text.. So its basically the speaker grill cuts outs of the logo and lines that let the sound out the speakers that the perspex covers... Does that make sense?
Kondorito Posted June 21, 2017 Posted June 21, 2017 I think it does I'll make it in regular png, and if looks ok I'll make it as a DXF file. EDIT: Does this works?
richie_jones Posted June 21, 2017 Author Posted June 21, 2017 Yes that's perfect thanks. Does it need to be black and white?.Is it 4x6 inch..Thanks for your time
Kondorito Posted June 21, 2017 Posted June 21, 2017 Tell me in which colors you want it and I'll do it, no prob. In regards of the measures, DXF is a vector format, this means that there is no actual size for an image; it can be smaller like a 0.00001 inch square, or bigger up to infinite (no limit). So the file that I give you, will need to get their measures set with the people that will be working with the file. Once they load it they need to set up the size they need; I am only assigning the proportions 4:6.
richie_jones Posted June 21, 2017 Author Posted June 21, 2017 That's awesome thanks. I'm not concerned with the colour its only for cutting out with the cnc machine..i just didn't want him to say it needs to be black and white..i don't know..It looks great . Should work out well
Kondorito Posted June 21, 2017 Posted June 21, 2017 Awesome! Here you go Atari.dxf Let me know how it goes!
richie_jones Posted June 21, 2017 Author Posted June 21, 2017 Thanks, really appreciate it. Ill email it to them now.. Thanks again
