Hi, I am a 37 year old from Louisiana.  Like many here around my age I'm sure, I grew up loving video games (NES, SNES, Genesis, and N64 were my primary systems), and in particular arcade games.  I had several birthday parties at the mall, where I spent countless hours playing Rampage, Altered Beast, Final Fight, and Street Fighter 2.  I am also a long time consumer of arcade emulation, going back to the early 2000s.  I fantasized about being able to play games like Wrestlefest from the confines of my own home, so what you can do today with emulation is right up my alley.

 

 

 

So, I've had a modded X-Box with Coinops for a couple of years now, but am ready to go to the next step, and build up an arcade cabinet with games.  I just ordered an X-Arcade Tankstick last week, and am close to pulling the trigger on a cabinet I will assemble.  Toward that end, I'm not sure if I have the time to commit to Hyperspin (beyond certain software, I"m not too computer savvy, I work full time+ with a family, and am lucky to get a couple hours free on a given night), but from Youtube videos it looks way more attractive than the utilitarian, and more limited Coinops.  So, I figured I would join up here, digest what I can, and make a decision.

 

 

 

As an aside, I'm a collector of 1/6 scale action figures (mainly Hot Toys and customs), and have been a part of that online community for about a decade now, so I totally appreciate the passion and camaraderie that comes with being a dedicated hobbyist.  I look forward to getting to know some of you!
