gigapig
What would you want to see on the DVD? Could only be the 3 main downloads extracted into the correct folder structure. Everything else is specific to your machine.
32assassin
Hyperspin has no install files. Any program you need to install will fall under 3rd party software. nobody is going to distribute any 3rd party software on a CD/DVD and post links on this site. as far as setting up Hyperspin, -Download : HyperSpin Install Files v1.3.2.0 HyperLaunch v3.0.0.9 (Full Install) HyperLaunchHQ v1.0.13.0 HyperLaunch v3.x (Media Pack) (Optional) Install instructions: -Extract Hyperspin 1.3.2.0 and place in --> C:Hyperspin\ -Extract HyperLaunch v3.0.0.9 place in --> C:Hyperspin\Hyperlaunch\ -Extract HyperLaunchHQ v1.0.13.0 place in --> C:Hyperspin\Hyperlaunch\HyperlaunchHQ -Extract HyperLaunch v3.x (Media Pack) (Optional) place in --> C:Hyperspin\Hyperlaunch\Media Open Settings.ini C:Hyperspin\Settings\Settings.ini copy the path to your Hyperlaunch folder [Main] Menu_Mode=multi Single_Mode_Name=MAME Enable_Exit_Menu=true Enable_Exit=true Exit_Default=yes Exit_Action=exit Version=1.0.0.0 Last_System=Sony PSP Hyperlaunch_Path=HyperLaunch\ ( if you place Hyperlaunch in Hypespin you can use a relative path) finally Update ALL your XMLs here http://hyperlist.hyperspin-fe.com/ Update Hyperlaunch and HyperlaunchHQ with GIT here http://www.hyperspin-fe.com/forum/showthread.php?27528-HyperLaunch-GIT any step after this is determined by your machine 3rd party software controller emulators you have installed paths to your roms, emulators, 3rd party software. gigapig
so u could run the FE from cd/dvd Sounds like a nightmare. It would be bloody slow if it even worked, I'd probably end up smashing my PC up if I had to deal with that.
32assassin
you can run it of a DVD if you want to limit yoruself to bad performance and a 4.7 Gig capacity. I notice some performance loss when I run my set up from a portable drive. my roms are in a J drive, J:System Name\romname.zip my emulators are in located in C:Hyperspin\Emulators\Emulator name\version number\emulator.exe My virtual CD/DVD drive is F: all this paths are saved in a Hyperlaunch set up file if I was to save this set up on a DVD, and you tried to run it on your system Hyperlaunch will try to: look for your roms in a J: drive look for the emulators in C:Hyperspin\Emulators\ load an ISO in the F: drive I'm going to make the assumption that you don't have any of my paths. My set up will not work with your folder structure.
