We’re starting the first public testing phase with Platinum Members to keep the scope manageable while we test the current feature set and begin to add more. Checklist for adding game to Hyperspin

Hi,

I've been looking (and reading) at the Hyperspin/RocketLauncher tutorials and they seem very clear on how to set it up and link them and how to add an emulator.

However, I did not find a clear checklist for what is needed when I want to add a certain game to a system/emulator.

Apart from the game file (ROM/ISO, etc) and the game being in that specific systems database XML, what do I need more in order to make HyperSpin show my game with all the fancy artwork, etc on my screen (supposing my system/emulator is correctly set up and working for other titles).

So needed are:

  1. Game file (name identical to database XML entry)
  2. Said game's entry in database XML file for that system.
  3. ??
  4. ??

Thank you.

Game file/rom that matches the emulator version you're running.

Add the game into your database correctly.

Add the games artwork for theme, wheel, video etc... into it's correct place in the Hyperspin media folder.

All names must be perfect 100% match including case.

Send Metal a twenty dollar bill.

Check ther tutorial section for the quick guide. It lists the folders. Then depending on the theme used for the system wheel (System Default Theme) it will use specific folders for boxart and cart art. Artwork 3 and 4 usually.

I looked through the tutorial section but couldn't any mention what all those artwork folders are for.

Thank you, however.
