steven1973 Posted November 14, 2017 Author Posted November 14, 2017 If anyone knows of a setup guide for MS-DOS on HyperSpin (Windows 10 compatible) I would love to know about it Cheers Steven
Bungles Posted November 14, 2017 Posted November 14, 2017 Nice collection so Far buddy keep it up. Dos can be a tricky one as I found out, but once you find your guide you should be good to go and usually most games work well out of the box. I am sure someone will drop a guide for you here, or if you search for Dosbox in the website something should come back for you. Are you using Rocketlauncher or Hyperlaunch? Would be the big question to start with. Bungles Posted November 15, 2017 Posted November 15, 2017 It should be pretty easy for you then, once you have your exo-dos pack its just setting up a new wheel for it and then getting your media. steven1973 Posted November 15, 2017 Author Posted November 15, 2017 Doh! 2 hours ago, Bungles said: It should be pretty easy for you then, once you have your exo-dos pack its just setting up a new wheel for it and then getting your media. Bugger had downloaded about 150 gb of 376 gb when I realised download location was my 250 gb solid state drive. restarted download onto another drive now, Doh!
steven1973 Posted November 15, 2017 Author Posted November 15, 2017 Do I have to mount the folder where my games are in dosbox or will either exodos games have that in hand or will RocketLauncher sort it. Cheers Steven
steven1973 Posted November 15, 2017 Author Posted November 15, 2017 Well all I can say is this emulation lark has ruined my life, first it was a few old Zx Spectum games I used to play, then I stumbled on a Youtube video by Simply Austin where the Amiga came into the equation. Then I wondered what was the spinny thing he was using to select not only games but systems , OOOOH! I like that, think I'll a QUICK! look into this HyperSpin/RocketLauncher thing. That was seven months ago, every waking moment is spent downloading, experimenting, trying, testing, swearing - OMG is there some swearing getting done and making videos and media for the games I have decided to keep. I'm not a gotta have every game and system kinda guy but its amazing how my collection of games for each of my systems seems to get bigger as time goes on. I'm up to 1.2 tb of games and that is mostly zipped and I'm busy downloading 376 gb of dos games and HyperSpin & RocketLauncher plus media is another 18.2 gb. I am planning to make video clips of the individual game myself, lots more harddrive space and time will be needed. Thanks HyperSpin, I don't know if I should praise you to the Heavens or damn you to Hell. So while I wait for the exodos collection v2.0 to download I think I will do as "Simply Austin" says :- Lets get stuck in.
wesfranks Posted November 15, 2017 Posted November 15, 2017 FYI- I think every torrent client has an option to move existing files from one hard drive location to another, so you don't have to start over. And as far as eXoDOS goes, read the module notes carefully step by step, before trying to set it up with RocketLauncher. Also, this MAY help... or not.

The download is a single zip file, direct download through the browser. Downloaded 122 gb of 376 gb now, so will probably Friday night before I am able to study/peruse your selected reading matter and give the games a go. Thanks again for your help :)) Steven
