    The HyperSpin 2 beta is here!

    We’re starting the first public testing phase with Platinum Members to keep the scope manageable while we test the current feature set and begin to add more. In the future, we’ll provide a version for basic members as well.  On behalf of the entire HyperSpin team, we look forward to another exciting adventure with our community.

Hi from Canada!

Hi, Bonjour, Buenas!

I wanted to first say thanks to you all for an oustanding work you did with creating Hyperspin and more importantly keeping it updated.

A little bit of myself, I'm a gamer from back to the Intellivision days (which I still have and works).  I was part of the community which they used to call nerds since I was playing with my friends at DnD, WarHammer, HeroesQuest and was chatting on BBS boards and MIRC.  I particated in the Super Mario Brothers 3 World competition which I'm proud came in the top20 for Canada's division.  They had giving me a Mario Cap.

A little bit older I was part of a Translation group which was part of the translation of TreasureHunter G, I had to integrate the translation text using Hexa tools in the rom. The group disbanded after a few years and I decided with my knowledge to start a new project which was a full translation of a leak PC game Princess Maker2 which was at 95% already done but that never came out due to bankruptcy.  I was working on it until I received a letter from SoftEgg stating to stop as they still had the rights to the english game.

I started playing Counter-Strike when it first came out, I was amazed on how video games had reached a new level and that we could play with people throughout the globe. I got addicted, was doing daily tournaments and barely slept. I had to quit.

I remember while growing older, I've continued to play with my handhelds and people would stare probably stating "isn't he too old to play video games'' but look at today's market which games is on almost every cellphone. I think we were too avant gardiste but it's probably due to us gamers that never wanted to 'grow older' that grew the video game industry to what it is now and for that I say thanks and props to you all.

Sorry for the long introduction... back to Arcades and Hyperspin, below is my arcade cabinet and I'll give props to my friend who help me build it including the hand artwork. I hope I can contribute to the community and it's a pleasure to meet you all.

Hi thatman84,

The Cab itself took about a year to build, my friend with kids and wife we had to put this as a long term project but was able to finally finish it for new years to play with friends and family but as you know the actual internal setup (lists, renaming, themes...) is an on-going project by itseft but thankfully the community on the site provides greats tools, downloads and tutorials. I'm still learning thought.

As I didn't know what computer to start, I went with;

E5 3.2ghz, 16gig ddr3, 1050TI 4gb and currently have 10TB split between 3 Drives (OS, Hyperspin and Media, Roms) It also has the dolphin bar.

It's currently working pretty well but later on I might upgrade to an I7 for the newer consoles.

Right now I'm dying to get my PC Engine CD to 100% (http://www.pcengine.co.uk/HTML_A-Z_Pages/A-Z.htm) but since there's a lack of interest on that console, it becomes a manual process of fetching throughtout the net but that is something that most of you went and that I need to go through. If I'm able to get it to 100%, I'll share it with everyone.  :)
