thenoob
First of all, shout out to the guys helping me via messages while trying to figure this out, THANK YOU. Heres the deal , I have 2 nvidia shields. I’m trying to transfer my hyperspin setup on my pro to a 16gb with a 128gb flash drive. i CANNOT use the 128gb flash drive as internal storage for the 16gb shield because I have to copy the hyperspin setup off the pro onto it. my question is, will hyperspin run off the USB flash drive if it’s not formatted as internal storage for the shield? I can’t do anything over network moving etc, as I’m 3000km from home. on the 128gb card, I have my hyperspin setup being moved to the root of the USB flash drive. I know it’s weird, but I’m far away from my home pc setup and trying to setup a family member. Android can be very difficult.
thenoob
So on the USB flash drive the file structure goes: /storage/788F-B890/hyperspin
thenoob
I understand Hyper-spin will seek and prioritize booting 1st from /usbdrive/Hyperspin then /sdcard1/Hyperspin then /sdcard/Hyperspin for the data. but being that my USB drive is called 788F-B890/hyperspin and not Usbdrive/Hyperspin is this going to cause problems? thatman84
This may cause problems. I don't have much experience with USB drives best bet is to copy the base folders over 1st and test it. settings databases media/frontend media/Main Menu and a small system to media/name of system plug it in and try it
